Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010
Is it the "extenuating" or the "circumstances" part that we aren't understanding here? two goalies must be on the roster and dressed as long as neither of those two 11-letter or 13-letter words are part of the equation. If they are, there is no punishment. How can we fault the NCAA for not making a team forfeit if two of the three goalies their roster are not able to dress? Force one of your D or forwards to dress in goalie equipment so there's someone else on the bench to open the door? I'm pretty confused as to why we are all complaining about this when there is a clear stipulation. GoJackets -- help me out. It appears as though you have comprehension of the english language.
You are correct - two goalies must be dressed. NCAA is only good at making rules, not enforcing them. For instance, there is an NCAA rule that all players in the bench area must wear a helmet otherwise it's a bench minor. There is a NESCAC team that consistently breaks this rule and no penalty has ever been assessed. And this particular rule directly relates to the safety of the players.
