St. Olaf has a strong team this year. The younger Stumpf player is amazing and Laurenitis should be playing D1. Wow!

just noticed that in UW-Eau Claires 9-0 win over Marian tonight that the Blugolds scored 11 seconds into the 1st, 15 seconds into the 2nd, and 33 seconds into the 3rd.....how often does a team score a goal in the first 30ish seconds of each period?

When is the last time Eau Claire dominated a team like that? never? shots 57-7...thats unheard of for UWEC.

Good for the Oles. JL has 3 points in 8 games, not a DI player. I know your excited about making your first post, but don't say things like that.

"Stumpf is having a great freshmen year so far and Laurenitis is doing just as well for not playing college hockey last year."

That seems fair.

I was going to say that I feel like Neumann's tie against RIT might prove that RIT wasn't as good as we thought but after RIT tied Amherst last night...I'm starting to think that yes Neumann still isn't quite there yet.

Huge re-match game today between the Tigers and Lady Jeffs.

The interesting thing is that in the tie with RIT, Neumann actually out muscled the Tigers and was able to grind away and come back from 3 goals down. The Tigers appeared to have lost that physical style and edge, but in their game with Williams and last night against Amherst they clearly had the better of play in the corners and were winning the battles for lose pucks. Trinity does have a couple of big (certainly by NESCAC standards) players on D, and obviously Iwachiw is one of the elite net minders in DIII. Maybe it is time for a Bantam Bandwagon?

Iwachiw is about the last goalie I want to face in a one game playoff....

She has proven way too many times the ability to steal a game from any team out there.

I wouldn't say "ouch". St. Olaf seems to be much improved this year. They have beaten the gusties and split with point. also looks like they only lost to river falls by 1. Todays Gustavus/St. Olaf game should be a good one. If the Oles sweep, I see them being a contender for a top 10 spot.

RIT scores early in the 3rd to make it 3-2 Amherst.

"Kelly Stack" formerly known as Katie Stack scores her 2nd goal of the game, 3rd of the weekend.
