Kara Buehler should be an All-American this year
...She's leading all conference defensemen in assists, and she's a great defensive player...I know its early but I don't see a dropoff

Enjoyed the ice cuts last night with the coldest Molsons I've had in a long time! My D has played both with and against women on the EC varsity and JV squads (meaning played with AND against the same women on different teams/different times), so the games this weekend were personal!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, but thank you for the hospitality! (There were a couple of extra bucks in the kitty for the Booster Club after the beers were paid for! I was the guy w/ the long, gray hair enjoying the Molsons, and wishing the Booster Club was open for the JV games!)
By the way, to attempt to be thread-relevant, I thought the Elmira team skated very well, and bested the Chatham team with greater depth and energy for the Sat. night game.
Chatham seemed talented, but not at the same level of Elmira, who dominated more than the score indicated.
(For the SnackBar's Closed thread: there is a brewery about 10 minutes from the Elmira rink that makes world class Stout and IPA! Horseheads Brewery on Old Elmira Road. Worth a diversion!)

As of now on defense I would Pair Buehler with Randi Zukas of Amherst for 1st team East All-American and add Kirsten Dier also of Amherst to the 2nd team East all american squad. Both are having monster starts to their season and are the top two in scoring on the team, plus they are an integral part of what may be the one of the best defensive units in the country.

I should hope so. Trininty over Neumann 3-2. Trinity's decent, but no more than 3rd best in NESCAC, and maybe even #5. They outshot Neumann 52 to 26. Trinity had 6 power plays to none for Neumann (how's that for home cooking?). GW by Trinity's mini-mite Kim Weiss at 19:57 of the 3rd (even strength) after a Neumann timeout.
