making me either try to sell each game or risk covid by going.

Um, that's a pretty easy choice.

I have been to at least one Cornell game for each of the last 40 seasons. This season, (1) they better make Placid and (2) this better be over by March 2021.

Yeah, but how likely is it I can sell? Gophers would have been a hot ticket without covid but it remains to be seen if many people want to go

“ BREAKING: President Trump plans to resume campaign rallies in the next two weeks as states move forward with reopening businesses and allowing gatherings to resume.”

Cue the conspiracy theories when they all start getting sick. Or if you get someone desperate enough they will know they are positive and attend- cough a lot and Bob's your Uncle (or father or cousin or all 3). That is a killing field- old fat white men with multiple co-morbidities..... He is like someone adicted to substances- he can't stand the lack of people willing to stroke his willy er.... ego. He is jonesing for a fix. He's starting early enough to kill or get a lot of people sick.

I approve this plan. By the time he goes out, the second wave should be in full swing.

Win win= he exposes thousands and thousands and if we are lucky they will restart his fat a55 on HCQ and he gets an arrhymthia... Ooooh. The world is looking up

Jeb, sorry if my post wasn’t easy to follow. First, as Handy pointed out and, you actually admitted from your own research, our country has a significant number of people who have underlying conditions due to lack of general overall health. Thus, a greater percentage of our population is obviously more susceptible to the virus. Meaning, we’re likely to have more deaths if we don’t lock down. When this all started, the majority of models were predicting over a million dead if we didn’t lock things down. Obviously, considers where deaths are currently at, the lockdown did its job. However, with the way we’re opening and when — not one state has met the CDC guidelines for opening — this means we’ll definitely have more unnecessary and preventable deaths than we otherwise would have. And, it seems as though your main mantra is why are we locking down all these healthy people, especially considering what it does to the economy. That’s where my point that we could’ve done this like Canada and other Western European countries did and just paid all adults 2-3K per month until we have a vaccine. That way, we really kill off the virus and, not only do we cut the unnecessary and preventable deaths down from 250,000 down to around 125-150,000 instead AND.... we keep the economy moving along just fine.

Are you referring to the early non peer reviewed models from the Imperial College? They have over shot, by miles every model in the 2000s.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8327641/Coronavirus-modelling-Professor-Neil-Ferguson-branded-mess-experts.html

“ The team reported a 'bug' in the system which was fixed - but specialists in the field remain staggered at how inadequate it is.

Four experienced modellers previously noted the code is 'deeply riddled with bugs', has 'huge blocks of code – bad practice' and is 'quite possibly the worst production code I have ever seen'.”

With a modeling record as poor as “Lockdowns Neil’s” I can’t believe anyone listened him. Our weighted what he had to say that significantly.

And again locking down until there is a vaccine is absurd. What if the vaccine that is being rushed out isn’t that effective? Back to lockdown life? Hard Pass.

The 1% are off taking care of themselves by getting away, sheltering from harm. All the while convincing people to go back to work and make them even more money. It's worth it to them for people to die for their sake of money. Just look at Jeb- before I put him on the ignore list, he clearly was not going to leave his bunker- pointed that out many times- and yet is demanding that others go out. Pretty great to force others to go out and risk their lives for you, and you are not willing to do the same.

That's the kind of leadership we have.

And it's not like it's really that surprising- as the russian party is more than willing to go to war, especially when 1) their family is not at risk, 2) their taxes will never pay for the war, and 3) they will probably make money one way or another by the war. Kill both the "enemy" and US citizens for their profit.

There's no surprise that they are also willing to sacrifice the working public for their money.

I demanded that others go out? Interesting.

I worked from home. Didn’t have a choice like many others.

Lock down as long as you would like. Enjoy!

Jeb - you're exactly right that the 1% are going to escaped unscathed, quarantining on their yachts in the Caribbean. You're exactly wrong that this is in any way fair, just, or moral. The government could fund a lockdown through June 2021, heck probably through June 2023, if we actually had the guts to tax the 1% and make them share in a small fraction of the pain that laid-off, low-wage workers are feeling. But how much pain, really, is it is if a 1%er has to sell his 3rd airplane so that thousands of people can not starve and can avoid a deadly pandemic? Let me find my tiny violin.

Lockdown until June 2021? Lol bless your heart.

No sh*t it’s very rare for people that aren’t sick to pass around a virus like those that are ill.

What it tells me is that people with some symptoms were not really following the lockdown instructions. If those with no symptoms are unlikely to pass it on.

Asymptomatic doesn't mean not sick you dumbass.

Could carry the virus but not have the disease. Don’t believe it, just go look at the discussion around G Floyd, lol.

Anyway you would have to be pretty nuts to believe that asymptomatic people are just as contagious or even on the same page of contagiousness as those that are symptomatic.

Just went to the store and only about half the people in there had masks on. Pretty disappointing.

Here in Germany, it's still mandatory that you wear a mask into any business, on public transportation, and when getting food. At restaurants, you can take your mask off at your table, but anytime other than that, you must always wear one. Additionally, you fill out a form with contact info so you can be notified if someone who was at the same restaurant tested positive.

Here in the Philippines no business is allowing entry without a mask. Even next Monday when things open up more masks will still be required. Also your temp is checked entering any business, but also when leaving your barangay (think neighborhood). If you have a fever you are refused exit/entry and your name, phone number and address are recorded.

Maine has the same rules for restaurants (masks unless seated, contact information logged for each dine in party), but unfortunately for retail stores it is pretty much left up to the business to decide if they will enforce a mask requirement or not.
