Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

I get where you're coming from on this. I think the difference is a grocery store is a necessity. Going to the bar is not. People should be able to give that up for what's hopefully a short period of time.

And that's where I am having an issue. If I want to go out to eat, I shouldn't feel guilty about it, assuming rules/risks/etc. Going to the grocery store is no different of a risk than going out to eat.

Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

So in theory these bar patrons will still need to go to grocery stores too...increasing their "public footprint".

Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

I get that. I was trying to steer clear of people at the store today. Maybe a good compromise would be bars/restaurants needing to limit the # of people. I don't know, it's tough to figure out. Ultimately people will need the decision taken out of their hands for anything to change. I am not killing you for your position as I don't view it as a **** the world mentality.

I can go to a grocery store once per week and get all the food I'll need for the week in 30-45 minutes. One meal at a bar or restaurant is an hour minimum for a single meal (maybe 2 if you get a doggie bag).

So no, not the same exposure risk.

I’ve been in/out of grocery in less than 10 this week. Self checkout, no line

Normally, when I *do* go out, I go early, because there are no crowds. I hate 'em. I'm an introvert, and it honestly exhausts me. If the area starts getting full, I leave.

Hour minimum? That's crazy. IMO, unless it's a fancy restaurant, that is poor service.

We aren’t all carriers yet — and that’s the point of social distancing — to not become a carrier to slow down how quickly it spreads

No what I mean is we are safer to assume we are. Just because we have zero symptoms and might not be affected doesnt mean we can or should resume normal activities.

(should have been more clear where I was going)

Right, it's funny that's become the meme of this outbreak. We'll all be dead but our butts will be immaculate.

Not really.
Smearing poo all over ones skin doesn’t strike Mookie as immaculate.

The rest of the world is onto something with the hose trick ;)

Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

You keep focusing on the bar part, or more specifically, a location.

Grocery stores have crowds, just like restaurants and bars and etc. And hey, grocery stores have produce sections that are kinda hands on....

Why is one different than the other?

I can equate the produce sections of grocery stores to buffets, and huh, Vegas just closed their buffets b/c of the virus.

BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BUY GROCERIES. You don't have to go to a bar.

Stop being so freaking intentionally obtuse.
