Countdown to the End

Re: Countdown to the End

Well, from what I can tell in the movies, zombies have difficulty climbing stairs and such. Also, I have the tactical advantage of elevation, being on the 3rd (and top) floor of my building. I'm already ahead of the game.

So zombies are like Daleks? :D

Um, sure? Also, my Wrangler is in an underground garage (again, stairs!), the building's elevator is being upgraded (state regulations or something) so that's out of order.....if worse comes to worse I'll just drive out to where bbdl is. I know how to fire a weapon and build stuff in nature. We can make a fortification for the non-zombie survivors and/or live off the land.

Re: Countdown to the End

Brent, Daleks (from Doctor Who) would stay on ground level, but could not go up stairs. It would be the go-to escape plan if the Doctor was chased by those baddies. Well... until the new series where they could hover with the new paradigm versions. And... oh god I'm a nerd.

Yep, best thing there would just to be to find that first choke point that you can find on that stairway, and work your way up if you have to. Hell, I would even think about trying to set things up along the way where you just got to duck under a bar, but the zombies don't and the horde just kind of crushes a good portion of itself right there. No sense in wasting ammo if you don't have to.

Re: Countdown to the End

Wait a minute...I thought I drove to the end of the world last weekend in the Keweenaw???:D

Oh well, Grand Forks is pretty much a wasteland anyways. If an asteroid hit, it would just melt the snow.:)

Re: Countdown to the End

And...it looks like someone got pulled over outside my window here in downtown GF. Someone bought into the hype a little too much.

Re: Countdown to the End

*light bulb!*

I'll move to WI. No one will ever want to head there! Not even zombies!

Re: Countdown to the End

It's even past midnight in Alaska and still nothing. I feel Mayan swerve coming on...

Re: Countdown to the End

I turned on my local radio station this morning and they were playing "It's the End of the World as We Know It" by REM.

Made me smile.
