Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30)

Re: Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30

Phil on the other hand is 197 years old and doesn't have a job, so he has nothing better to do. Perhaps you need to get huskyfan to make the calls for you!

Anyone got Frank Wilson's number?

Yeah the life expectancy is a bit longer in Madison. Stem cell research cures all. :D:):p

I completely forgot about that! We totally need those signs this year for the Final Five. :D

Yes we do! That is assuming Wisconsin makes the F5 of course. That is not a given :)

Are you really that proud of sweeping the team predicted to finish in last place in the WCHA at home? It really isn't that much to crow about.

Was referring to their silence compared to leading up to the weekend. Nothing more.

I don't believe that they will be finishing last though.

By the way, kohl staff = no problems for once. general sconie hospitality = all time low. seriously, most of the fans i met these past couple of days were no better than hostile and abusives. not sure what happened there, kind of disappointing. on the plus side, i met an awesome older guy who takes a trip with his daughter to some WCHA opponent every year. he has gone to the ralph and duluth before and this year he is probably coming to tech. he should enjoy it, i wish i could have set up an arena tour or something for him but i don't know how to reach him.

You sure you were not in North Dakota? If a man gets divorced 10 times, is the problem the women or the man?

You should expect that when you come to our house. If you come to the Kohl wearing the colors of the visiting team, youre asking for it. Ive never had any problems with people at the Kohl being hostile or abusive. Theyve always been friendly and respectful to me. Then again, I always show up wearing the right colors and supporting the right team.
I was a little disappointed with how your players handled themselves. Apparently cheap shots and trying to pick fights is what they teach at MTU. Oh well, better luck next time. LOL

I'm sorry, but we should not have to expect that, besides general good ribbing and maybe a couple cheers, I have never seen a Tech fan be hostile and abusive to an opposing team fan in the JMSIA, (hell, our fans let opposing fans stay at their house when they visit, which I know there are cases where this has happened OUTSIDE of Madison, in other cities, such as UND and UMD) but as a traveling fan, visiting another team's arena. You shouldn't have to be abused to go watch a freakin hockey game.

What constitutes "hostile and abusive"?

Re: Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30

I've been verbally abused in every WCHA arena I've been too (haven't been to the UP), and even physically abused in games at Minnesota. Every fan base has fans like these. Don't act like Wisconsin is the first.

Denver doesn't have fans like that. Then again, Denver doesn't have fans.

I was sexually abused in Mankato.

I don't think he's stating that Wisconsin is the first, I think he's saying that compared to his other trips to Madison, this is the first time he's encountered fans that have acted like *hats.

Likewise, the two times I've been to Madison, I haven't been harassed much at all, and I'm a Minnesota fan. It all depends on who you happen to encounter during your stay.

Dirty, while it may seem like abuse, Mettlers is simply a really bad strip club.

I've never understood what is so wrong with having traveling fans. I'm all for creatively making fun of teams of visiting fans, but as I was walking around the Kohl center, do you how many times an a-hole would walk in front of me like some tough guy and yell "**** Tech!". I also heard the "**** the Huskies" chant (NOT what the **** drop the puck) at least 3 times. Every time that happened some Badger fan's 5-or-so year old son would ask his dad what they were saying. And then we had a couple of 40-50 year old guys heckling the player's parents and going irate when we stood for about 10 seconds during the game because Genoe had just made a ton of consecutive amazing saves during the 5-minute PK on Friday. On the plus side of things, I met a really awesome Sconie fan who will be coming to Tech with his daughter this January. Oh and Bennett is one of the biggest ******s ever. Derek Lee is awesome, however. I was disappointed that Jordy Murray and Podge were not at the bar.
