Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30)

Re: Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30

Don't let your over confidence being your undoing. Still letting up over 3 goals a game against the dregs of the CCHA and possibly the new WCHA basement dweller in Mankato is not impressive. Your team might have found some offense, but UW isn't NMU, Lake St or Mankato.
.
You are absolutely right, Tech will have to show something and most likely Wisconsin wins by at least 5 both nights. it will be real boring, so don't bother to show up, just check the score later tonight.

Yes, Gordic missed all but a few games last year due to injury and was redshirted.

Tech's main reason for the terrible seasons the past two years was the number of injuries.

This team has solid goaltending, scoring, and finally believes it can do somthing.
Tonight is a key to keep it rollling and keep on making this season truly different.

I think a split is realistic, but I'm hoping for 3 WCHA points this weekend.

Go Tech...

Bucky Sweeps.

Hattie from Murray tonight.
Hattie from Craig Smith tomorrow night.
at least 4 points for Gardiner on the weekend.

They have 2 of their starters hurt

While Baker would be a top 6 player, he hasn't played since last year due to his shoulder rehab, and Schooley isn't what I'd call a "starter" just yet.

I'll take a split in Corpie East. 4-3 Tech, 5-2 Bucky

I'm interested to see what Tech has this year, and I think it should be a good series this weekend. Tech certainly appears to not be the pushover of a team that they were the last few seasons, and UW is going through some growing pains being so young.
Michigan Tech is way closer to DU than Holy Cross and Alabama-Huntsville.
Im intirgued to see how tonight and tomorrow go because neither team has beaten a quality opponent yet.

If we had a Common Man style preposterous statement tournament on here, this one might take home the big prize.

I can agree w/ that. Its the WCHA nothing is a given, except that the refs will be horrible and blow countless calls both ways.

I'm predicting a close game tonight as the Badgers won't entirely expect this team to play hard.
At least 1 point tonight, and then Bucky takes us more seriously and they'll beat us by at least 3 goals tomorrow night.

A sweep would be awesome, but I gotta stay real

Start letting people bring noisemakers and signs into the arena and we'll talk ;)
Phil is special, he gets his own rules...none of us are allowed to have signs like him because he is grandfathered in ;)

Still hung up on that are we?

I'll gladly wear the "Corpie" label if that keeps the 'necks from bringing in their signs and cowbells. I'm calling for increased security and searches this weekend.

ok Debbie Downer, until I see otherwise I'm sticking by this statement. Its not like Denver or Wisconsin have been very impressive thus far. I'm intrigued to see how MTU does against what should be a quality opponent and I understand that Tyler "D0uch3bag" Buckentine won't give MTU any credit until sweep a series with BC in Boston, but the Huskies deserve some praise thus far. I don't see how you can say Michigan Tech is on par with Holy Cross and UAH. If they were, there is no way they would be undefeated through 5 games regardless of how bad the competition. But I should just shut up because your attitude about college hockey in general really bugs me this year.

You are the only arena in the WCHA that has ever taken away signs or cowbells...so yeah, the Kohl Center is Corpie East and they deserve it because their security staff loves double standards and treats road fans differently. I have personally been harrassed and almost tasered over some pretty lame stuff. I have even had personal conversations with your event staff before I go to the kohl center and their rules change once I get into town. When ever they tell me I can't do something they site some policy so last time, weeks before our trip to the kohl center, I contacted people at the university and requested a copy of the policy...they couldn't produce it.

Is this game going to be televised anywhere in the Wisconsin area? If so, anyone know if a video feed will be put up?

Re: Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30

Really? Corpie East?

Admittedly, the Kohl is probably least deserving of a "Corpie" moniker, since you have a good student section and the crowd actually cheers. Nevertheless, it's big and shiny, so if the shoe fits... ;)

I didn't know that I had an attitude towards college hockey in general. huh.

Thank Alvarez that they outlaw your cow bells. Our house, we make the rules.

Guess what, you're the visiting fans. If they want to selectively apply rules to you, I'M ALL FOR IT!

I suppose you want to bring in blow horns too? Nothing like letting the rural folk come into the city for the big game.
