Cornell Big Red 2010-2011

Re: Cornell Big Red 2010-2011

Nothing against the other selections, but surprised she did not get POTW, or at least be in consideration for it. Is there a rule against double nominations ?.

Not sure how closely my perception matches reality, but the general sense I have is the league typically tries to recognize as many players as possible. A rookie will generally only win rookie of the week accolades, unless the league feels the need to recognize two rookies. In which case, one will get player of the week, and one will get rookie of the week.

Don't know if the ECAC does things differently, but in the the WCHA, a team may nominate someone for each of the categories (offensive, defensive, rookie), but any player is only nominated once per week. So if you have a frosh playing D put up huge offensive numbers, then the category for which they are nominated is often dependent on who else on the team had a good weekend. Or the decision may be based on what players around the league starred and are likely to win an award.

Re: Cornell Big Red 2010-2011

What's the Four Nations situation for Cornell this year? I read on the Harvard thread that players are gone for the upcoming weekend. But are they still available for Tuesday night vs. Mercyhurst?

Ok just saw the 4N schedule, the answer has to be yes. I guess they miss the Harvard-Dartmouth weekend and then Cornell is conveniently off the following weekend. Rare for 4N to disrupt two weekends, isn't it?

Game on! Lets go Red!

Is anyone else having issues with the sound? Usually you can hear the rink noise but I'm not getting anything.

I put in a tech request. They said they'll work on it. But the video is now crapping out on me.

I'm on my cycle trainer. Solved the problem by employing my mp3 player. Fast paced music instead of ...

The stream is digitalized a bit, and froze several times (making the Mercyhurst goal quite a revelation) It seems like Mr. / Ms camera person may have a caffeine problem.

Really wish names on the shirt backs were mandatory. It would be ever so helpful to us "trespassers"
