Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

Tough luck for Bellamy... hung out to dry for the first two goals, then I guess her confidence just wasn't there after.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

I missed the fourth one too. And now Cornell has just scored a fifth on a screened shot from the left halfwall. That's all for Bellamy.

Ogilvie to the puck out from behind the net, took the shot from a sharp angle than kept hitting at rebounds until it went in.

I thought she had zero chance on goal #3 -- tap in off a 2-on-1.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

Harvard on the board on a nice 3-on-1 on a power play. Nothing the Cornell goalie could do on that one.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

Harvard finally scored on the PP a little while ago, but Cornell followed it up with a 6th goal by Ogilvie. It's 6-1.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

is there any reason that we have to see an ad for programs during the game. Really, it isn't like any of us at home are going to run down and pick up a program behind section 24.

Cornell is totally owning this game.

GO BIG RED :D

I'm rooting for an all underdog frozen four.

We just were just commenting on the same thing. I would rather watch the guy picking his nose in the stands than see the ads.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

Only question now is whether this game sets the mark for biggest NCAA blowout ever. I don't think any team has ever lost by more than five? (Wisconsin 5-0 over Dartmouth last year, Harvard 6-1 over Minnesota in 2003, and Minnesota 6-1 over Providence in 2005 come to mind... )

Wisconsin beat Dartmouth 7-0 last year.

Yea, I hear you. Better to see the atmosphere at the game than a stupid NCAA ad.

Re: Cornell at Harvard, Friday 7 p.m.

True, but thanks to the NCAA, a webcast that is usually $6.95 is now free. I'm willing to put up with a few NCAA ads.

Let's call a spade a spade...the first 2 goals were extremely weak/slow shots even if her defense let her down...this was just terribly slow, confused and inept goaltending...and not just for those two goals...from what the commentators indicated earlier with respect to her previous play I expected to see something much different. Maybe she just caved to the pressure of a high profile dance card? Anybody know how she usually plays?

Is it just me or does this ice surface look small?

I agree, but why advertise about programs availability to fans who are not there.

Also, don't the colleges pay a fee to the NCAA to be a member? So the colleges have collectively paid for this broadcast.

It's just you. :p I was thinking just the opposite... that it appeared to by Olympic size. But I thought that would be weird with the benches being on opposite sides, and Wikipedia says it's 204x87.
