Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

It's always been more than a little suspicious that the people most worried about authoritarianism are typically the people who are most authoritarian. Maybe their fantasies about jackbooted thugs are just them projecting. Like the guy who says "people must have fear of Hell or they'll just steal, rape and kill." Oh, really? What makes you think that... hmm?

People often fear in others those traits that they recognize strongly within themselves. They know that impulse, and cherish it within themselves because *they* can handle it, but won't trust that same instinct in others who might be of lesser stuff.

I think it's simpler than that: we tend to judge others' motives by our own. Sociopaths don't just misunderstand altruists, they literally can't understand them -- they don't have any point of reference to understand that there are people who do things on behalf of others out of empathy. There always has to be "an angle." So, health care is a nefarious plot, or welfare is a poison pill. The guy who only thinks "what's in it for me" assumes the rest of the species only thinks like that.

Wonder how people will justify opposition to this:

A plan to force all American law enforcement agencies to report killings by their officers was unveiled by US senators on Tuesday, a day after the Guardian published an investigation into the fatal use of force by police.

Senators Barbara Boxer of California and Cory Booker of New Jersey proposed legislation that would demand all states submit reports to the US Department of Justice that they said would bring “transparency and accountability to law enforcement agencies nationwide”.

It's pretty clear: The communists are trying to establish a national police force. This is a false flag towards nationalizing the militarized police, and just one more step towards martial law and the FEMA death camps.

Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

Ironically, those who believe most ardently that it's their right to stand up against the police and FBI to protect what they hold dear, are also the same ones most ardently supporting the cop's rights to use whatever force they choose to against unarmed darkie thugs and criminals. Strange, that.

I dunno how strange it is when you consider how much hypocrisy there is in the world. How many of these people scream you can't go easy on a 15 year old criminal because "they know what they are doing" despite all we now know about brain growth and maturity but will never say the same thing when a 15 year old girl has completely consensual sex with her 17 year old boyfriend and he ends up in jail for rape because she isn't old enough to "know what she's doing."

Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

Nobody with half a brain and a real job actually lives in Inkster, so this will just drive additional foreclosures. Suburban ghetto at its "finest".

If it can happen there, chances are fat to certainty that it happens elsewhere. It isn't limited to police departments, either. Schools are also typically a target.

Not strange at all. My favourite was the story about the guy who believed cops could do wrong became a victim of police brutality and did a sudden 180.

Most only understand it when it's too late.

So, in the 70s a liberal was a conservative who hadn't been mugged yet, and in the 10's a conservative is a liberal who hasn't been tased yet.

So now, after a man goes out and deliberately tries to kill police officers, and gets himself shot and killed in the process instead, there is a movement afoot demanding that police not use bullets but use tranquilizer darts instead?

The domestic terrorist violated the sixth amendment.

So now, after a cop goes out and deliberately shoots a man in the back, lies about the events that led up to the shooting, plants a weapon on the dead man and tries to enlist the aid of fellow officers in his coverup, there is a movement afoot demanding that justice be served and he is tried for the crimes he allegedly committed?

*eta* I'm not saying the quoted poster finds fault with holding the person or persons responsible in my posted example, it just seems like -- once again -- the knee jerk response it to defend law enforcement first, second and last, or to mock those who protest when police use their powers to kill.

Didn't that actually happen recently, only there was a little flaw that a bystander recorded it all with a cell phone camera?

Yeah but who are you gonna believe, your own eyes or a dedicated law enforcement professional who was simply trying to protect the public from a running unarmed man? I mean it could have been your picnic he tromped through...

Of course, I hate America and want the terrorists (and criminals) to win, so there's that...

Well, considering the domestic terrorist that choked the guy that "couldn't breathe" to death had his actions recorded, and he still got off, I would say that the bombardment of said shows by the government-media complex (e.g. COPS, Law & Order, CSI, etc.) have hypnotized the people into believing the domestic terrorists can do no wrong.
