So. Miss/Louisville looks like its actually going to be competitive. More than I can say for those first 3 bowl games.

Today in pre-Christmas bowl game smack talk...

But with the teams separated -- after Sunday's incident, probably for good, at least until kickoff -- Ute wide receiver DeVonte Christopher had to resort to the fans' standard medium of smack talk, the Internet. And via Twitter, he certainly made the most of it (emphasis added):

Christopher, a Canyon Springs High School graduate, posted on Twitter: "I can't wait to get out here wit these Boise State or should I say Girlse State they a bunch of cheerleaders...lol.

Wow?? Thats the best smack talk he can come up with? DeVonte needs to go take a few more English classes I think.

And who in the hell thought it was a good idea to have both teams there at the same time to get massages. Honestly. One of the teams in the morning, the other in the afternoon when another shift of massage therapist could be brought on to work on all of them.

so they keep him last year after a 2-10 season then fire him after he wins 8 games and gets conference coach of the year honors (at least in his division) in order to replace him with someone who was available last year anyway? odd.

They had the assistant Franklin as coach in waiting, but when he bolted for Vandy, I guess they reconsidered things. It is an odd move, but I really feel little sympathy for Friedgen here.

Sugar Bowl is off the board in Vegas as Ohio State may be suspending multiple players in a tattoo for autograph "scandal." Arkansas calls Buckeyes "stupid", tells them to just take cash next time.

yah, those SEC teams are going to have no respect for teams that don't know how to cheat properly

They're showing pictures of the field on SportsCenter and it looks in really good shape. It's tough to tell from that picture, but all that water is actually sitting on top of a tarp, which did a pretty decent job of protecting the field believe it or not.
