Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!
ummm 119?
And that describes how many D1 programs?

Now we're ripping on BSU for being a weak academic school, because they're obviously the only school in FBS that isn't stella in academics.
And plenty of schools avoid BSU like the plague. It seems only Oregon State and VA Tech are the only major conference schools with any stones to play the Broncos.
Of course Wisconsin is the one you didn't mention. You missed the discussion below about how one of those games was a late fill-in for San Jose State dropping their game this season with ASU. It was dropped so late, ASU couldn't find anyone to fill the spot except Portland State. San Jose doesn't drop that game late on ASU, and ASU would in all likelihood be bowl eligible.
For Oregon State, if they had either Boise State or TCU off their schedule and a creme puff in either place, and they are bowl eligible. For Cal, if they drop Nevada and insert creme puff, and they are bowl eligible.
And of course for all three, if they had one less conference game, and insert a creme puff, and they are all bowl eligible, even with their other tough nonconference games.
As many as your typical SEC team has typically played over the years? And hopefully ones that don't bail on you last minute so you have to add another FCS school. The math is pretty easy. There's a reason ten SEC teams are in bowls, and it's not about a stellar record against the other major conferences.I know I didn't mention Wisconsin. You suggested that if ASU had just played "an extra powderpuff" they would be bowl eligible. I'm saying, they've already played two powerpuffs- albeit not necessarily their fault. How many more powderpuffs do you want?

Maybe if they played powerpuff teams they'd be in a bowl. They played powderpuffs and finished out of the running.
They need a couple of games with Sun Belt teams like the SEC does, then they'd be all set.

They had one powderpuff that counted toward getting into a bowl, while on the other hand playing three teams in the top five, and playing all of them close. Few teams around the country had only one powderpuff on their schedule counting toward getting into a bowl. It's pretty simple math. But, hey, others are playing the system to the hilt, and cashing in as a result, so I guess most people don't really care about seeing good matchups.
Oregon had them on the schedule last year and Washington has played them recently too.
Good thing the BCS is never wrong.
But oregon got the last punch in.Oregon lost that game too....
I'm not arguing with you. ASU lost @USC, @Wisconsin and vs Stanford by a total of 6 points. Having only 3 NC games hurt them, especially since one is a rivalry game that doesn't count. The fact that they were forced to play two of those games left them no margin for error. Schedule a patsy from the Sun Belt and we're not having this discussion.
Lateral move.
In reality you should be able to sell your tickets (abiding by any scalper laws). But I could see why people would be disappointed that you are buying tickets for an event you don't plan on attending, leaving them without the opportunity to buy any unless they want to pay above face value.Shouldn't you be allowed to sell your ticket for whatever you can get?
Frankly, that's bull. This piece is by no means meant to be a call to take action against the above individuals, simply a tongue-in-cheek commentary about an unfair ticketing practice
We ask that you ridicule the ever living **** out of these people...
