No conservative should ever be employed in any capacity in which they have supervision over other people. Between animus and ineptitude, they are a bad risk.

Things are not going well at Northwestern…

On Friday they announce Fitzgerald has been suspended for two weeks amid allegations of hazing within the program. Their report found that while he had no involvement, he should have been aware. Then on Saturday more information came out from the whistleblower and NU came out with a statement that they will be reassessing the situation.

As of today there are now reports of this hazing going back to at least 2007 and allegations of racism within the program.

And not just to limit it to the football program, today allegations came out against the baseball coach over sexism, racism, telling players not to seek treatment, and running someone much in the same way a player died at Rhode Island while he was there. How did the coach respond? “Maybe the players just aren’t good enough and are making excuses.”

Fitzgerald has been fired.

What are you talking about?

I agree, but fail to see how this relates to pat Fitzgerald.

This fall, the ACC will begin airing football and basketball events on the CW Network, a new addition to the league's Saturday broadcast schedule.

The CW has secured the rights to 50 ACC games, beginning Sept. 9 with Pitt's football game against Cincinnati. Thirteen ACC football games will air Saturdays on the CW, which will broadcast 28 ACC men's and women's basketball games throughout December, January and February. The ACC will have men's basketball doubleheaders on the CW every Saturday, and women's basketball doubleheaders on Sunday afternoons.

Raycom Sports, which sublicences ACC events from ESPN, sold its rights to the CW but will continue producing them.

Probably start seeing that more and more. With RSNs like Bally's failing, teams are starting to go to OTA networks. I think the Jazz and the Suns are doing that this year for home games, and it sounds like CW and Ion are both trying to get in on sports. One of the many Pac 12 rumors were that Ion would hold rights to some games.

The Tennessee football program avoided a bowl ban but was fined more than $8 million by the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions, which announced its punishment for the Volunteers on Friday after finding more than 200 individual infractions committed by the school during former coach Jeremy Pruitt's tenure.

Among the penalties handed down, Tennessee has been placed on five years' probation, was given an $8 million fine among other financial penalties that will push the total closer to $9 million and will see a total reduction of 28 scholarships.

Tennessee had been charged with 18 Level 1 violations -- the most severe in the NCAA rules structure -- in July 2022. Included among the more than 200 infractions were charges of $60,000 in impermissible benefits and both Pruitt and his wife, Casey, making cash payments to players' families.

BUT, Tennessee was not charged with a lack of institutional control

Lawyers. Schools learned to tell the NCAA to GFY and offer up the coach for sacrifice. Pruitt got a 6 year show cause.

More updates regarding Northwestern football. Some of the shenanigans happened during training camp held in Wisconsin. On that part they should possible be forgiven because, well, that state is a bad influence on most people.

Honestly it would be more shocking if any Div I coaches weren't doing this.

Sigh. I thought Jim actually graduated. Which means he has some reading and understanding comprehension. Those violations seems pretty clear and easy to avoid. Dates are dates. And monitoring is monitoring. Can’t really pretend there is a gray area.

If you want some laughs, check out Vandy's stadium renovations...

It's July 25 and there is still an Endzone that is missing seating, lulz....
