College Basketball 2012-2013: The Year of the Big Ten?

Re: College Basketball 2012-2013: The Year of the Big Ten?

That was an epic choke job. Our junior high basketball coach ran our asses off for better free throw shooting than that.

Hope nobody else wanted a piece of that Big Ten title.

Liberty just qualified for the tournament with a 15-20 record. I think they should play Georgetown in round 1.

When Illinois isn't hitting shots outside, they're REALLY bad. Iowa should be up at least 20 but instead only stretched it to 11. Probably not good.
The same is true of Wisconsin. They really didn't deserve to win yesterday.

Marquette tried really hard not to (co-)win the Big East, but alas, they did anyway. They were picked 7th in the league before the season.

Seton Hall over South Florida 46-42. Not at halftime. In overtime. Hooray for offensive basketball.

Give Indiana credit for not throwing in the towel. I hate the intentional foul strategy in basketball, but it worked. Our Spartan friends have to remember that they had a chance to beat the Hoosiers in EL and blew free throws down the stretch, too.

Michigan is a good team that doesn't know how to finish, plain and simple. They wouldn't be this far without Burke, so the future will be interesting. That said, the conference tournament should be good. Indiana has to play either Illinois or Minnesota in the quarters who have beaten Indiana. Same with Michigan playing Penn State in the first round.MSU *should* get Ohio State in the semis. Michigan could get a rematch with Indiana if they survive PSU and Wisconsin.

Just a hunch, but on the national level, depending on how the brackets shake out, I like Louisville.

I suppose I'd be up for a pick-em. This is the only week of the year I pay attention to Obamaball, except for to know just enough to rip on the Gophers regularly.
