Re: College Basketball 2010-11: Headin' for Houston

Nice "foul" at the end of the UCLA Kansas game

I feel this appropriate for this week.

Is that this week? Ugh. I love the work they do but I have to turn off ESPN for the next two weeks because I get so sick and tired of the whole thing. Especially when Dick Vitale is involved.

I think it's at 80 something, but yeah, most of their high profile games are at neutral sites. The only premier games I remember being played at Duke have been part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

They did host us, though. ;)

I understand, DX. ESPN isn't really good at subtlety. However, I lost both of my grandparents on my dad's side and numerous people to the disease. The speech just gets to me.

2010 Title Game Rematch has been good so far.

Butler 33, #1 Duke 33 (half)

Re: College Basketball 2010-11: Headin' for Houston

That same Oakland team just beat #8 Tennessee.

Re: College Basketball 2010-11: Headin' for Houston

Teams are looking for ways to drop Oakland from the schedule after Tennessee and Michigan State this week.

Re: College Basketball 2010-11: Headin' for Houston

UIC (Univ. of Illinois-Chicago?) is going to beat #13 Illinois.

Re: College Basketball 2010-11: Headin' for Houston

Florida lost to Jacksonville for the first time since 1994.

Re: College Basketball 2010-11: Headin' for Houston

Coach K is now tied for #2 all-time with Dean Smith, and is only 23 wins behind Bob Knight for the all-time win record. I hope he blows right by Knight. Like him or not, Coach K can win without throwing flower pots at secretaries, choking forwards, lobbing chairs and pushing referees.

I like both of them. Plus that secretary probably deserved it.

Connecticut women win their 89th straight game.

*Yawn* Call me when they beat Tennessee.
