College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

The stopping of one of the great cinderellas of all time and the spoiling of one of the most amazing stories in college basketball history...is yet another reason to dislike duke.

I thought that half court shot was going in. Wow.

What a great ending.

The stadium would have exploded if that happened...it would be the story of the year...maybe the greatest ending to a game ever.

I was talking with a buddy about it and we both agree it would be the greatest shot in NCAA history. I can't think of a single shot from that distance to win it all. Especially from a five seed.

I can sometimes understand the disliking of Duke, but maybe it's just me but this is easily one of the more likable Duke teams in years. They just seem to go out there and work their tails off every game.

They are Duke...the tourny is rigged for them to win because Coach K has bought and paid for USA Basketball...why do you hate America? :p

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

If it makes you feel better, the last non big 6 team to win was UNLV and they crushed Duke in the final (by about 30).

I even like Coach K, seems like a nice enough guy.

Okay, I'll stop now. :)

Anyone who had a problem with the way that game played out no matter who you were rooting for, is not a sports fan. Period. That was redonk.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

That last show going in would have been worth it just so I wouldn't have to watch Christian Laettner vs. Kentucky ever again.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Someone needs to find the audio of Jennifer Hudson singing One Shining Moment, and delete the hell out of it.

I can understand some respecting this teams ethic...but other teams work their tails off too. Unlike a whiny Handy...most here would have seen a different team win this.

Coach K is satan...he is the meanest coach ever, his kids never graduate and he cheats!

I stated a page ago I was cheering for Butler despite being a Duke fan...seriously one of these days learn how to fracking read.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

It was a good game. Butler had the smallest margin for error. I thought that charge changed the game but Butler proved me wrong and still had their chances, no fricken ability to shoot the rock killed them.

And they still almost beat a better coached team filled with better stronger taller athletes!

Why, why, why, why couldn't that have gone in. Great game. That charge call may have cost them the game but it happens. Humans are officiating.

Why oh why couldn't that have gone in.

Butler is a well coached team... They stay in games because of their coaching and their great defense.
