College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

This game is pretty brutal to watch.

I can enjoy women's hockey, soccer, and softball, but basketball just doesn't translate very well from the men's game.

Although seeing the Cardinal lose in anything is always nice.
I have to disagree about women's hockey. Watching a college game is like watching 14 year old boys play. It's terrible. I can watch softball, but hate all soccer.

That game last night did not help womens basketball. 20-12 at half ewwww:eek:

Women's volleyball for the win! Tall, leggy women in tight little shorts jumping up and down. Only thing better is when they wear bikinis and get all sweaty on the beach. :D

Here's this years One Shining Moment, with what I believe is Luther's version instead of that pile of crap Jennifer Hudson made.

Butler just signed Brad Stevens to an extension through (this isn't a typo) 2022.

68 is the number it should go to...give all the number 1 seeds the same advantage.

This sucks on wheels.

CBS and Turner Broadcasting will pay at least $10.8 billion to carry the N.C.A.A. men’s basketball tournament through 2024. The field would carry 68 teams if the Division I board of directors approves, an expansion from the current 65 but much smaller than the 96-team field that had been considered.

Their partnership prevented ESPN from taking control of March Madness, which recently dropped out of the bidding.

The new arrangement will begin next year and ends CBS’s practice of regionalizing early-round games.

The games will be shared by one broadcaster, CBS, and three cable networks, TBS, TNT and truTV, the former Court TV network, which is known for its crime programming.

Through 2015, CBS will cover the regional finals, the Final Four and the championship game. But starting in 2016, CBS and Turner will split the regional finals and the Final Four, and the national championship game will alternate annually between CBS and TBS.

I'm glad CBS is keeping it, but I am really not a fan of Turner Sports, especially on TBS. The one upside, I suppose, is being able to watch any opening round game you want.

Sucks, but sucks a lot less than 96 teams would have. So long as TBS and truTV keep the CBS graphics, presentation, and announcers, I don't think anything is hurt.

Also means people probably won't pay for DirecTVs March Madness package.

Tyler Perry singing One Shining Moment!

Better or worse than Jennifer Hudson?

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

There are some really crazy rumors flying to the effect that Mike Brey may be in trouble at ND (and not for the team's performance).

The tournament field is expanding!

It's going from 65 to 68 teams.
