College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

What's the most intriguing match up on Thursday and Friday? Who's on the Cornell band wagon?

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

At least they know it'll be vacated :D

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzing! :p

Just make it a game, that's all we ask. Kicking the ever loving snot out of our two opponents last weekend was epic no matter what happens in Syracuse.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

I hope so. Their gunna die by the three against UK.

Cornell's only weakness is athletic teams...Unfortunately Kentucky is an athletic team so the deck is stacked against them. If Cornell keeps shooting the way they've been shooting though they'll be able to score points with the Cats.

They'll need to find a way to keep Kentucky out of the paint and force them to settle for outside shots.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

I suspect the Midwest will be Ohio State, the East will be Kentucky, the South will be Duke, and the West will by Syracuse.

Probably Kentucky v. Ohio State in the finals.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Ohio State
Syracuse
Baylor
Kentucky

Luckily none of these guys laid an egg last week, my elite 8 was/is Kansas, Ohio State, Kentucky, New Mexico, Baylor, A&M (don't judge me), Syracuse, Kansas State.

I have 5/8 left. I'm tied for third in my pool, the first place guy had Kansas winning it all so he'll fade in the next two rounds. Second place has Duke winning it all, I and the guy I'm tied with have Syracuse winning it all.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

we repicked last night for a second bracket and I took SU as the champ.

I hope Cornell shoots well and that puts pressure on KU to play strong defense (which hopefully means more fouls and the bonus earlier) and take more time on offense which slows the game down...if it is anybody's game with 5 minutes left then I think cornell is in great shape from the line and behind the arc.

I think we'll know 5 minutes in if this is going to be a game.

i have a hard time believing that after i read the article.

"A CBS representative e-mailed Tuesday evening to say that the person who creates the group is able to alter the brackets after the games have started, so CBS doesn't monitor the results."

Thats a little sketchy. Who picks northern iowa over Kansas? nobody

According to ESPN, about 42,000 people picked Northern Iowa to get to the Sweet 16.

Honest question: weren't Temple and Wisco "athletic"? I mean, they were a 5 and a 4 respectively, it's hard to think they were a bunch of traffic cones.

Or is "athletic" in this case a synonym for "high scoring"?

northern iowa fans & people who hate Kansas.

Also, people who use random bracket generators. That's enough to account for 42,000 out of 5 million brackets

Wisconsin's a bunch of big slow white boys who are corn fed. In essence, they're just the Big Televen version of Northern Iowa. Well-coached, but not exactly a team to push the tempo and run you up and down the court.

Temple was simply over-seeded - frankly I think it would've been more of an upset had they beaten Cornell (who was grossly underseeded as well).

I guess I can see that. I would have picked Kansas either way.

Temple should have been a 4 or even a 3. Cornell should have been a 10 or 11. Both teams got shafted in seeding. If you look at the kids bracket, he has Purdue winning because his bro goes there. No way the Boilers go to the next round.
