College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

and will have a ton of time between games so they'll be well rested and prepared.

By this point in the season, the disruption of routine in being off an extra week is a negative, in my opinion.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Yeah, I wish I was as confident in Cornell as that guy is. We're a good team but this isn't a great matchup.

Its not as bad a match up as the Stanford game two years ago, but its close. Small consolation that Wisconsin is a team they'd have a decent shot against if they got that far.

I'd also like to say how much I hate the committee for putting Cal as an 8 seed in Duke's bracket. Its going to cause me to do stupid things when I make my picks. Any other 1-3 seed and I would've given the Bears no chance, but Duke is so tempting.

I do like what my third school has going for it (Georgetown). If they can't get to the Sweet 16 with that draw, they've royally screwed the pooch.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

I think Cornell and Gonzaga got the raw deal with seeds. The Big Red should have been a 10 while Gonzaga was the #14 team in the country and got an 8 seed? Puzzling.

I do see Siena beating Purdue. Not having Hummel hurts the Fighting Rick Mounts chances.

Temple's coach thinks it is too convenient that both schools got seeds they didn't think they'd get and are matched against each other after working together for years.

That smacks of gerrymandering.

Need another example...Villanova a #2 seed. No way.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Bobby Mo is in danger of busting a lot of brackets early in the day...

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

'Nova wouldn't hurt me much if they happen to falter. I have them only going to the 2nd round.

BYU losing on the other hand would kill me.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Is that the USCHO group that you're referring to? I can't check the brackets at work, its blocked.

Yep.

You're working during the tournament? What's wrong with you?!

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

I just noticed RMU has a guy named Dallas Green. :D

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

First upset...Old Dominion upends Notre Dame.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

So Villanova's just gonna keep on chucking three-pointers up there, huh?

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

BYU/FLA going to OT

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

The only conceivable reason for 'nova to be losing this game is that they're playing a team at the Dunk that actually plays defense.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

BYU/FLA going to OT2

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

BYU is up 7 in OT2.
Nova and Bobby Mo like playing so much, they're going to bonus hoops too.
