And Yales 2nd goal should have been stopped.

Have played 10 games and only once have we allowed less than 3 goals.

2022-23, ECAC Hockey men's Tournament champion Colgate, 3-6-1 in the first ten games of the season. 1-1-0 in ECAC Hockey conference games.

2024-25, ‘very mediocre’ Colgate, 4-5-1 in the first ten games of the season. 1-1-0 in ECAC Hockey conference games.

something I feared at the beginning of the season seems to be coming to fruition: a problem between the pipes...one wonders if we should've gone into the transfer pool and picked up a decent goalie over the spring/summer...

Our offense has carried us at times, but defense wins championships. Both goalies are porous. I'd demand better from a $70K/yr scholarship, or however much it is. Appreciate the reality check, ibt...much hockey to be played.

Looks like we have a great goalie coming in next year in Auyeung-Ashton. This is very good news for the team. Great stories about him.

Well, somehow the ‘very mediocre’ Colgate with its ‘Achilles heel’ goaltending must have lucked out tonight in defeating Harvard at Harvard. Hopefully they can do the same tomorrow night at a much-improved Dartmouth.

After spending the week in Iowa, I logged in arena #145 tonight as Ohio State beat Lindenwood, 5-2, in Maryland Heights, Mo. Tomorrow night I will catch Minnesota - Duluth at Miami (Ohio) on my way home.

Colgate played their most balanced game of the year last night. Kudos to Takacs who played very well also. They only had one penalty, showing discipline we haven't seen this year. A great game to watch, if we can play like that going forward good things will happen ! Dartmouth beat Cornell last night and remain unbeaten in league games, another huge test on the road.

Wow, that was the most complete game I have seen them play in a long, long time. Everybody played great, no dumb penalties, great goaltending, glad to see the team improving. I think the @Harvard/Dartmouth will be the toughest test this year for ECAC teams. Great start to the weekend with 3 points.

agree with above posts...solid effort by Takacs which should help confidence going forward, disciplined play and contributions from everyone...also, should be toughest road trip in ECAC this year...not surprising re: as Reid Cashman is a Pecknold clone (also Pecknold's first stud player at Q-Pac 25 years ago...

Got home from watching the Colgate women defeat Dartmouth, 5-1, at the '65 to watch the end of the game. Super happy for the team and coaches on a great road win and equally as happy for the large Colgate contingent at the game! Go 'gate!!

I was at the game last night, and after watching Colgate lose by blowout to UConn and lose to UMass Lowell with a 0% penalty kill that night, it was refreshing to see the team win!

It should be noted we never had to go on the PK last night - our one penalty was a matching minor that resulted in 2 minutes of 4 on 4. In fact, last night was a clean game all-around. Colgate’s only power play was the result of a Harvard too many men penalty. And when Harvard pulled the goalie with about 3 minutes left, we were able to hold firm.

There was a good amount of Colgate fans in attendance too, cheering loudly when we scored and when we won the game. Also of note, Harvard has 11 NHL draft picks on the roster so this win feels sweeter. And with a few prior posts suggesting that Harvard/Dartmouth might be the toughest road trip this season, well fortunately for us (and Cornell) we get it out of the way early.

I wouldn't read too much into it. This was only our fourth game of the season so we're still finding our way. A better test will be when we take the trip to your place. Last year we beat Cornell up there and lost to you guys, then beat you at our place later in the season. It all tends to even out as the season goes along. My hope is that since we have such a young team, that by February we're playing much better and hopefully, gearing up for a top four finish. It could happen.

Can’t ask for much more than that from the first road ECAC weekend, a tough one at that. Very heartening to see much better discipline lately in terms of staying out of the box. With the depth of scoring, if we can get some semi-decent goaltending, we could have something here.

Another very entertaining game, we were down four times and came back each time. We played two very good games this weekend.

Giving up 4gpg is not sustainable for winning games and sounds like sub-.500 hockey to me, but the offense has come through more than once and is great to see. Unlike football which is a travesty, am glad to see improvements. We have not had a national contender in goal for eons.
It appears they’ve painted the lower wall maroon behind our goal at home, or is it a drape/curtain? About time. I guess the word RAIDERS went out with the block C thx to Moore. Ironically, guess what’s at center ice at Lynah. What is the word ‘good’ painted for?
