So far, so good. With the win this afternoon, we guarantee ourselves a winning non-conference record. We also won in an NHL rink for the first time in recent memory. Question is, who would be the better opponent for us tomorrow night, from a PWR perspective? I prefer Penn State, since a win against them would give us some common opponent comparisons against other Big Ten teams. But Robert Morris is 11-2-3 overall. What do you guys think?

Happy with a win last night, all in all a pretty good effort. Goulakis second goal of year and no PIMs, great ! Murphy another selfish penalty, hot headed Irishman needs to think about team. Way past time. Follow your captain, a win tonight and we're on our way back ! Finn was great last night, Tylor 12-16 on the faceoffs, secondary scoring, all good stuff. Tyson took a headshot last night and played sparingly after that, hope he's ok. Lough left the game after a hit but played later on.
Western is the biggest team in college hockey, GR mentioned several nocalls on what he perceived as headshots or boarding etc, particularly Loughs hit . Hopefully we're still healthy, said they were AHA refs I believe.

Merrimack? We never played them, if we were to beat Robert Morris tonight that will be our first victory over a current ranked opponent. Haven't played that many yet but we have had our chances. Must win tonight!

Nice piece of hardware from 3Rivers! I hope it's displayed at Starr when we go in for the Gate v Cornell game. Great wins to end 2014! Was disappointed the Mariucci Classic wasn't in a trophy case.

Yea that CHN app can be pretty awful some nights, mine did the same thing but I had been getting the update fine in the first period so I knew it couldn't be correct. Follow gate hockey on twitter as well if you want a back up if you cant listen to gateradio (who does a great job every time).
