Re: Colgate 2011-12

Wow, what a weekend! Setting us up Friday night for a third straight game against the league leader. Let's do it again.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Going to be a crazy weekend in the Capital District. Union sitting at #1 in the league hosting #3 and #2 on consecutive nights plus the Big Red Freakout on Saturday. Should be interesting . . .

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Just wanted to remind you about that bridge you all were going to jump off a scant few weeks ago!!!

Now on the other hand if a spot on that bridge is still available a few of us SLU supporters might need it.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Union will be awaiting us, especially after last years playoffs. Should be a tremendous game. Game #3 last year ranks up with last night's game.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Not much to add to what's been said. Was at the game last night and didn't think we could come back from 3-1 against that team. But the Wilson goal turned everything around and it was all Colgate after that. Bourdon I thought was having a quiet game before he got the winner - we need him to score down the stretch to take some of the heat off our top line. And what more can you say about Wilson, Wagner, and Smith? They can play with anyone.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Our speed + passing really showed in the 3rd last night. There was a time there -- during the 3-goal flurry -- where I swear I was watching an AHL team.....maybe not NHL, but a good AHL team.

"From the agony of Dartmouth weekend to the ecstacy of sweeping the Big Red" It doesn't get much better than that.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Kevin McNamara has not played the last 4 games. Jack McNamara has not played the last 3 games.

Are they both injured... or just in the doghouse with Don Vaughan?

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Teacher Bill & Green Coat...Not throwing the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th liners under the bus this week are you? ;)

Great team effort. Great coaching work (other than failing to get the top guys off the ice in favor of the tough guys right after the Larkin goal- you could see Cornell players were frustrated and going to start running guys). Good (not great) fan base in the stands (could have been louder).

Keep it going Gate

Jack McNamara took a hit in the Harvard game back on 1/20 and hasn't played since. Kevin hasn't played since the Qpac game on 1/14. If I had to guess, Kevin has been an injured scratch; Jack a mix of injured scratch and being one of the odd men out with Billy Rivellini (junior) and Mark Nasca (senior) getting regular shifts.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Also...

Saturday's Cornell game was eerily similar to Game 2 against Union last March. Down by 2 goals going into the 3rd, then score 4 unanswered (the 4th being the empty-netter that ices it) to win.

Perhaps this leads to bigger and better things? No, it WILL lead to bigger and better things, and I'm thinking perhaps an ECAC Championship...

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Been thinking of Smith's chances for the Hobey. I think for him to have a real chance to win it he not only needs to keep up his goal a game pace, but also the team needs to make the NCAAs and win a game. But unless he suddenly stops scoring, he's got a good chance to at least be one of the final 3.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

Huge test Friday, we better bring our "A" game from the start. Union is near the top in almost every statistical category. Just saw the highlights from the Clarkson game, was 5-0 in the second. Should be a war if it's anything like last year's playoffs. RPI game is on Time Warner but I heard only it's only in the Albany area ???

From what I could tell on TWCS 13's schedule, that is correct. TWCS 13 is showing Binghamton basketball instead. Source: http://twcs.tv/programming.asp?id=2012-1-27

Re: Colgate 2011-12

The game is going to be done by RPI TV and the feed picked up by TWC Albany.

This is true, but the question was regarding whether the Syracuse market (which I assume encompasses Rome and possibly Utica as well) will simulcast the game on the local TWCS feed. It will not, according to the provided programming schedule. However, it will be shown on Albany's feed (which only reaches out to about Canajoharie; I don't even think it goes all the way out to Utica).

When Colgate has a home game that is televised on Time Warner Cable, it is sponsored by TWCS 13 out of Syracuse.

There was a tweet recently that it would be on YNN Central NY Channel 13, but that may have changed. I honestly have no idea where it's being shown besides Channel 1 in Albany. It's also showing on the right side bar on http://twcs.tv/ showing channel 1026.

Also, this won't be your normal RPI TV broadcast, we'll have Tim Heiman and Kevin Broad providing made-for-TV commentary and full intermission content with sideline reporter Perry Laskaris. It's a lot of firsts for us, but things have really come together and I'm feeling pretty confident heading in to the weekend.

Re: Colgate 2011-12

I called TW here in Rome, not being shown, they are showing thugball. GRRRRRRR

....and if you read my post, that is what I stated. It would be carried by TWC Albany. If it were carried by TWC Syracuse, I would have stated that!
