That was one of the best college hockey games I have ever seen Colgate play!!! They did it all........defense, offense, goaltending. Unbelievable. They wanted it and they took it to Cornell. I am so happy for the team/coaches and can't wait for the rematch tomorrow night at Starr!!!! Go Gate!!!!!!

Echo CU13...great, great effort by everyone...the last five minutes - although I was on the verge of vomiting - was a great display of defensive hockey...I'm so happy for the kids and the coaching staff, especially the seniors on this team who had never beaten Cornell...YES!

Great win tonight. Got suspenseful at the end since we couldn't really stay out of the box but our penalty kill really stepped it up a level. Cornell couldn't really set up in our zone and we were definitely playing like we were on a mission ... to win!

Hoping there isn't a letdown tomorrow night. While we earned a weekend split and 2 pts at the least, a loss could essentially be "2 steps back" before an important matchup against Union in the Captial District...

Hoping for a sellout @ Starr tomorrow night.

On any night in the ECAC anything is possible. Last night we were the team of the first half of the year. Just tremendous. Marginal penalty at best with four minutes left, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr !! We killed it and I don't think Cornell even got a shot off or set up in our zone. When we play like that we can skate with anyone !!! Now sweep please tonight !

Did anyone else see Vaughan absolutely light up the officials as he left the ice? Not only was the penalty with a few minutes to go marginal but I thought the one with 16 seconds left was too. Apparently he was of the same opinion.

Anyway, I thought we played Cornell even in the second and third periods but dominated the first period. Not just won it it but dominated it. Scored two goals and their goalie made at least two if not three plus saves in the first. Otherwise we blow them right out of their barn. Promising.

Joe Wilson seems to be coming on.

Interesting to see what tonight brings.

Great to see a win at Lynah... they have been few and far between over the years. Congrats to Don and the team on a terrific effort in a difficult environment. Let's take another one in Hamilton tonight.

Is McNamara injured?

Shabby, Pops at the Oaks before the game tonight? UC out of town so making the big trip down to watch the sweep. Maybe see you there. Go Gate!!

Absolutely right. I haven't checked, but I think we had only one shot on your goal for the entire third period. You completely smothered our power play all night long. Great job.

Even? Even?? You mopped us up in the third period. And you're right about Isles in goal. With any other tender in our net, you win by five last night. The overhead camera replay on the save he made with his lower leg/foot was amazing.

Tonight's gotta be better for my team, but no network TV. Radio will have to do it for me. Good luck the rest of the way. After tonight.

So I tune in with 0:55 left - just in time to throw my shoulder out pumping my fist in joy. Grazie Mr. Larkin! Truly unbelievable. Barely able to stomach paying attention to the team starting the weekend after a true disaster of a two week period. Only to get one of the best presents the team could give a long time fan. Simply Awesome.

ecstatic (if I've spelled it correctly)...God Bless Austin and the best line in NCAA hockey...great to see an overflow crowd (finally) and great to see a team that has come back from the brink after the Dartmouth game...keep on keepin' on 'Gate...YES YES YES YES YES...

Amazing!!! Way to go Colgate!!! Is this the same team from last weekend???
Hope they can take this momentum into the Capital District where both schools want revenge from last year's postseason and where Union is the league leader.
Wish we could go back and re-play Ferris State, but full steam ahead!!! Time to go knock off another nationally-ranked team in Schenectady and put this league to rest!

Will gladly continue to pick Colgate to lose if it means we're going to win! Waiting for video highlights...

Joey Wilson is no longer a freshman! What a goal, picks the defenseman's pocket and schools Iles five hole. So pretty !

Being down 3-1 after two I was saying, "At least we got a split". Third period was incredible, one of the best I've ever seen by a Gate team. Cornell is so big, we were getting manhandled physically. I didn't expect Bourdon to get up after getting just crushed into the boards,not only did he get up but scored the winner on a one timer from Goulakos. Wow !

We are smaller but our speed seemed to wear Cornell down by the third. What more can you say about Austin, two goals and another shorty ! We're back !!!
