Re: Colgate 2010-11

RPI has made a request to the ECAC to change Saturday's and Sunday's games to Four oclock. Awaiting.

Interesting Shabby! Hope this doesn't mean you won't be able to attend one or more of the games. Please give us a report after you get home. Wonder why they are asking for the time change? Is the circus coming to town?

CHN has us playing Cornell if we beat RPI. I know there is a re-seeding of teams after the first round, but why wouldn't we play Union - #12 vs. #1? It seems logical that there is no way we wouldn't be seeded last. Maybe I don't understand the system

RPI has played a lot of 4 o'clock games this season. Many were for national TV broadcasts, but some were just changed to change.

Colgate would play Union if they make it to the quarters. At the bottom of that CHN page, it says "Setup:...Re-seed for second round, seeds 1-4 host best-of-3 series." The bracket is made up assuming that the home team will win every series.

CHN is stupid.

Re: Colgate 2010-11

Playing from behind [Brown] is never easy, especially this year. Not scoring on 3 straight power plays and taking numerous and inopportune penalties...it was a recipe for a frustrating loss. Congrats to Brown on the weekend sweep...even they defeated Cornell which is something we haven't managed to do in what feels like a century.

I saw both Brown/Colgate games this year, first on TV and then live on Saturday. On Saturday I could not believe that this was the same team that brown handily beat the first team. Incredible improvement and turn-around. As TchrBill said above, some bad penalties cost you. from what I saw Saturday Colgate can and will defeat RPI.

Re: Colgate 2010-11

Congrats to Brown, BTW, on what appears to be a continuing turn around...even Brown undergrads appear to be going to some games (unlike their Colgate peer group)...

Re: Colgate 2010-11

As per Coach Vaughan on the Colgate Coaches Show tonight, Miami will be coming into Starr Rink in October. More details later on Twitter but I figured I would throw y'all a bone tonight.

 When was the last time we hosted a high-caliber team!?!? That's great news GR!

Re: Colgate 2010-11

Shabby...I believe the score was 14-2...and we weren't bad that year (1996-97?)...seems like yesterday for us old-timers...hope springs eternal as the playoffs arrive...hopefully the RPI kids will be on spring break...probably the best match-up we could've hoped for, with all due respect for RPI...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the RPI students will not be on spring break.

No request was made; I am assuming the box office was mistakenly looking at information for the women's series. All games will be at 7PM, according to PR director Kevin Beattie.

Re: Colgate 2010-11

Less than 24 hours to get your ECAC Pick The Playoffs 2011 Edition Picks in. Remember 7:00PM Friday Knight is the cutoff.

Re: Colgate 2010-11

Gonna have to miss the first two games. If there's a 3rd, I should be able to follow

No reason to feel either way on this series, so there's nothing else but hope for the best :)

Let's Go 'Gate!

Re: Colgate 2010-11
