Chowder Cup: Any decent prospects?

IIRC, it's coming up this weekend. Are there any D1 prospects/players (particularly HEA/BC players) that are participating? I'm mulling whether I might skip out to see a few games, just to get out of the friggin' heat.

Haven't seen actual rosters yet, but if it's like years past, there will be little but D1 prospects / players there. Pick your rink and go!

As an aside - it's the end of what is typically the hottest month of the year in New England and we are in our first real hot day. Get tough:cool:

I would think it would be interesting to see how the different teams play assabet as most of their players are already committed. It would be interesting to see how different uknowns stack up against them.

There are plenty of prospects, both signed for 09-10 and unsigned for 10-11. In addition several teams carry existing Soph players.

BTW..There are two Assabet teams, White and Blue.

You didn't spend 26 hours outside running a FH tournament all weekend :p. I may not have any skin left once the peeling stops.

Re: Chowder Cup: Any decent prospects?

Anyone remember the cost to go watch games? I seem to remember it being expensive . trying to budget for the weekend.

Re: Chowder Cup: Any decent prospects?

BTW, anyone going? I'm on the fence. The rosters are a pain to go through.

Hux and I will be there - probably at Iorio to hook up with a few friends. Gotta get through Friday workday first though:( :

That it should. Interesting mix of players and teams, with a strong US U18 connection, as well as Lawrence Academy. Falcucci is pretty solid in net too.

Re: Chowder Cup: Any decent prospects?

That Global Hockey Selects roster looks pretty loaded... I might head down to see them play on Friday.

(Although my bets are on skipping it entirely to study for finals at this point)
