I'm going to be nice here. You are replacing Minnesota and Wisconsin with Ferris, Northern, Lake State, Western and Alaska. Despite having a net gain of three teams, you have a net loss in number of fans. But lets assume that it's a wash and you have the same number of fans. I have a couple questions.
Where will this tournament be held?
How will you get the same number of fans to attend the tournament as currently attend the F5?

But again, let's assume this new league gets the same number of fans as the WCHA currently does at the F5. I have some more questions.
How are you going to add more teams to the league without affecting the amount of money each school gets from the tournament? Is it even possible?

I say no. Because in the real world you'll have less people going to the tournament which means less money in ticket sales. Combine this with more teams in the league and it means dramatically less money to each school.

My #1 pet peeve? People who throw out random ideas stated as facts, then say, "I don't know, do the research to back up my idiotic assumption yourself."

See Dirty. More teams means splitting the pie more ways (12 teams now, 20 under this proposal). Even assuming for sake of argument that attendance doesn't drop (say, to Joe Louis levels), that means less money all around.

Now I get to pull example #1: Show me how that is better for MTU. Go!

Really? Guess I misunderstood the "Woudnt it be nice to fly to Colorado and have three teams to play" part.

Nope. I'm not always right. But I don't make blanket statements about schools being in trouble, without actually having talked to someone that knows what's going on at the school. I don't make statements about schools being willing to spend an extra $100,000 a year for the sake of "better competition" nor do I make suggestions about leagues merging or teams changing leagues without considering the ramifications for all involved institutions.

I think you misunderstand, not surprising given your posting history, I'm the one that has been around here for a while, knows how things work and that complains about the new posters that don't have a clue what they're talking about (you).

Now, please tell me, will I be able to trade for Joe Thornton in the NCAA Hockey 2011-12 video game?

So you are saying new posters dont understand college hockey. I get it. I am glad to see people are so NARROW minded.

So just by being a regular poster makes a person knowledgable about college hockey.

No, I'm saying that you don't understand college hockey. Some new posters can show that they know what is going on around here. Like 7&7 just did, and only 6 posts in!

There are alot of new poster who are quite knowledgeable. There are plenty with hundreds or even thousands who are not.
