Met his mother before the game. Saw her after the game and had to give her a hug, she was a very proud mom!!

Good job! I have bought a few people beer down there. In fact, I know of a couple of people that loved me in person that absolutely hate me on here, because they didn't know who I am. It is pretty fun.

I agree with your assessment of the penalty. There's no reason it should have been called in a 0-0 overtime game, it would have been questionable, at best, if it had been called during regulation. I would venture to say... last night was the best I've ever seen Canzanello play. I thought he did a nice job of taking William Rapuzzi off the puck, he may have held on a little too long after doing so... but Rapuzzi was so far off the puck by that time it didn't matter.
Looking at the bigger picture... the Mavericks just need to put the puck in the net. They had countless opportunities that should have gone in.
I thought both teams were very impressive last night and I can't wait for tonight's game. Joe Howe was absolutely phenomenal.

I agree Canzanello looked different last night. He had a second gear we haven't seen in the past, and he was much more assertive in his decision making.
Both goaltenders were outstanding, too bad Austin couldn't get a shutout after a solid 3 periods.
I was not impressed with Testuwide last night. Big kid, very intimidating when camped out in front of the goal, but that was about all that caught my eye as a positive for him.
Mavericks will have to be awfully hungry tonight, I'm sure CC is better than they played last night. Hard to watch CC steal two points from a game like this.

Canzanello was really good up in Duluth too. He's definitely played a lot better this year, and is probably pretty close to being a guy that has to be in the lineup every night.
Testwuide was a huge match-up problem for MSU all night along the boards and in front of the net. He's not flashy, but CC's best pressure last night came with him out there.

Canzanello always seems to play well against CC. I wonder if playing against his brother's former team has anything to do with it? I've always been impressed with him and was disappointed when he didn't commit to CC.

The thing about the change was the 4 guys who ended up on the ice were not all on the ice at the time of the penalty call. We ended up with 3 defensemen and 1 forward and then they threw our center out of the faceoff so we had a Dman (Youds) end up losing the draw cleanly. I agree with Maize, Jutting should have taken his timeout since the 4 guys on the ice were obviuosly confused as to where to line up.

Nice job CC! It is good to get the sweep on the road. Sounded like Mankato gave us everything that we could handle and more. Glad that we don't have to face them again in the regular season.

Thanks Dave, I had a blast, Mav fans are great which is the biggest reason why I choose this road series. But I must admit, getting home is weighing heavy on my mind. Should I have another beer?
