Is Pagliai's still there on Front St.? Always loved that pizza. TJ's Aegean was amazing, and I was furious when it left the menu. Of course, the joint shut down not long after.

Thanks everyone for the info on what is close to the Arena, I am excited and it all sounds great. It has been a long time since last in Mankato, but I have always liked the town very much.
Rich, I was really impressed when I saw Minnesota State play two weeks ago up in Denver. I did not notice any difference in skill compared to DU (at least that night). Minnesota State has good speed and can score plenty of goals. It will be a big challenge for CC to keep the puck out of their own net this weekend.
I say split. But since I will be in attendance I will do my fair share to cheer them to a sweep. Go Tigers!!

Frankly, I'm not sure that we have a single reliable scorer on our roster. What I do think we have is about 5-6 above average scorers that can put it in the net consistently (if that makes any sens). I think that from what I have seen so far is that we have a bunch of freshmen and sophomores that are talented, but raw players. We don't have any polished guys like Backes or Stenesen or even Shane Joseph. We have a lot of Mick Berge type guys that are able to score given they work their butts off.

I love that place! Sounds like they are getting rid of the quirks that made me love it even more though. Oh well.

Dont forget about the Wagon Wheel for the Saturday morning/afternoon hangover. Its a hole in the wall cafe thats been open for years apon years. They serve breakfast from 6am til close (4pm). You can get eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, and all you can drink water for $4.37!

TJ Finnegans changed ownership and the new guys changed the menu up and made it totally crappy. I didn't know it had closed down, but I'm not surprised.
As much as I may have been opposed to the concept of it, I miss the Sbarro that was in Campus Square for like 7 weeks. They actually made a pretty solid pizza, and their specials actually made the pizza ridiculously cheap.
Also on the topic, Dino's in North Mankato is a little pricier,but it was pretty good when I ate there.

I am fairly certain that this is the same Carbone's that has a couple of locations in the Twin Cities area. If so, the pizza is excellent. Not quite as good as Jake's but a very close second.
