A win is no sure thing by any means, but the Mavs always play tougher at home. I'm hoping they give us a couple of good games against a very tough opponent.

I knew I'd get a few comments from my tiger buddies!

I hope one of the good Marvick fans will post an answer soon. I have my day Friday planned up to 5:00 pm. Now waiting on an answer which will help me plan my time from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Yes you can. Best place to be from 5-6:30 might be BW3 (Buffalo Wild Wings)

You can get hammered at Maverick games, for a pretty good price. (Compared to any other sporting event I have imbibed at anyways.)

In fact, that is one of the few things I miss about that town. Booze is dirt cheap.

Cool, I see where Buffalo Wild Wings is open till 2:30 am on weekends. I suspect I will help close the place both nights, or should I say both mornings.:cool:

Beers are up to $4.50 at the game. Dont' know about the mixed drinks since they are basically so small that they are a shot.:D

There are several bars in the one block area near BW3 that are good. Rounders, Hazards, Blue Bricks are all good bars with great food.

Back to hockey. I've looked back in the past 2 years we are 1-3-3 in the game after a bye week. The one win is against princeton 2 years ago, One of the ties was against the Gophers. Hopefully we will be pumped to be back playing and still riding the high from the big win against Wis. and the close series in Denver.

I believe for the most part we are. Geoff Irwiin is the only guy that didn't play a couple weeks ago. I haven't heard how he's doing after the brutal hit he took.

Sounded like the young guys were stepping up against Denver a bit more than expected. Realistically, it's going to come down to effort on defense for the Mavs. If they work hard, they'll be fine. We can't be giving up 50 shots any more. The disaster of giving up shots like last year's playoffs and the Wisconsin series may finally have been a wake up call. The goalies are young and inexperienced (in college) and need some help. Our boys will score their fair share. I have no doubt about that.

I'm nowhere near as confident about this as you seem to be. I don't see anyone showing signs of being a reliable scorer this year.

There is a new Carbone's Pizzaria that just opened yesterday. Right across the hall from BW-3's. Where the old Above ground was. Great pizza and a full bar!
