there's a good buck in that racket.

We've talked about the US Russian relationship needing a reset. This country needs a reset.
What it needs is a strong Dem personality to call out the right's increasingly bizarre and immature behavior. We need a Kennedy kind of persona to be fearless...and just say that commentary on the right has gone off the rails. Embrace the average moderate Republican. And have no tolerance for ideas that are totally wacky. The only reason we're in this predicament is that the extreme right has not been called out for bad behavior. So now bad behavior and stupid ideas has become a test of strength to the detriment of the country. So now ideas from the bizarre 20% has taken over the dialog...which is admired by another 20% as strength. This rhetoric and behavior such as Iraq has led to extremism elsewhere...its all related. Thank you Limbaugh and Murdoch.
Thought you were joking, saw on the news you weren't. *facepalm*She blamed it on Obama, because obviously.
this is all well and good... but you do realize that the D have been in control for 7+ yearsand did in fact control all branches for the first couple of those.
Yeah, it has to be a dem. Someone like Hilary, she almost caresWe've talked about the US Russian relationship needing a reset. This country needs a reset.

LOL.
No. We actually need Trump to get elected if you want a reset. The Country didn't learn a ****ing thing while the Shrub was running it so it needs to go completely off the rails to get the picture.
Not sure what that has to do with my post.
Are you saying that Cruz, Trump, Carson, Bachmann, Palin have behaved as presidential as Obama? Romney's 49% comment is the most presidential thing we've heard out of the GOP since then. The only reason this is any sort of contest is that Hillary was so dominant early that all other Dems were scared off...and now she's turned into a total supernova.
LOL.

None of the Rs mentioned are presidents. You do what you have to do to win the primaries; retrench a bit and try to win the general. Only after you've won do you have to start acting presidential?
And can you define what "Acting Presidential" is?
Basically Rush is admitting -- crowing, even -- that the grassroots conservatism he has so well harnessed and exploited is not substantive, it's emotional. The anger and viciousness aren't byproducts of the frustration of a political stance -- they are the political stance.
"That's not leadership, it's assault."
We can't afford another Republican president. The last one wasted several generations of prosperity and international good will. Obama has at least gotten us out of the hole, but the margin for error is gone. The adults have to hold on until this bizarre brownshirt fever breaks on the right.
It's not healthy having only one functional wing in American politics, but that has been the way it's been since 1994, and the right has only gotten more and more stupid, angry, and dangerous. Winning will only subsidize that behavior. The only way to have two functional parties is for the GOP to be punished so harshly that it learns crime doesn't pay.
People didn't learn. They need to.
The interesting thing to me is this is now being voiced by conservatives. To liberals it was always obvious that Republicans were waging class warfare and just lying about the class they supported, but if even conservatives have caught on now, how are mainstream corporate Republicans still getting elected? They've got a majority in the House where there are only about 40 Freedom Caucus members out of 230 GOPers, and they control state legislatures and governorships by about a 3:2 ratio. Yet the RNC is now as hated among grassroots conservatives as Obama or Clinton.
If the erosion of the mainstream of both parties continues one can imagine a coalition of the anti-Wall Street left and the anti-Wall Street right to jack up taxes on the parasites. Just because we have different social values doesn't mean we have to be crippled on our economic priorities.
