I will accept all of your apologies for doubting me when I said Walker was a joke who had zero chance of winning the nomination let alone the presidency.![]()
As opposed to Madison or Middlebury or some more left of center center of learning where anyone you don't agree with is shouted down, humiliated, or exiled from campus.
Do you sincerely believe this happens?
In joe's defense, there have been a couple instances in which it has in fact happened. These are then reprinted and retweeted around the Troglosphere billions of times so the knucks think it's happening every day.
If a candidate was asked this question "What os your position on same sex marriage?"
And replied "If that is a deciding issue in this campaign, we're all in trouble."
Winner or loser?
I think Bernie's message will find a sympathetic audience among many religious people who take calls for treating all God's children with dignity seriously. I am not sure that he's going to find that segment of the religious public among white evangelicals -- I associate it more with Catholics and black evangelicals. However, there is no reason in principle why we can't build a bridge between liberals concerned with the iniquity of inequality and conservatives concerned with the moral threat of poverty, on the common concern for the suffering of so many caused by an economic system warped by the greed of so few. It's worth a try.

Winner for Democrats.
Death March for Republicans.
Irrelevant. Unemployment is too low and the economy is too strong for people to believe that. Thanks Obama.
Your inside knowledge of his campaign was prescient I must admit. Like I stated before he had all the intangibles. He just needed to keep himself out of the briar patches.
But Bernie (and to similar extent The Donald) are tapping into something - unemployment is low, but not for a large segment of the population. The economy is strong, but only for a select few.
The game is rigged and people are beginning to wise up to the game masters.
Bern did a good job over at Bob Jones. Of course it'll get like zero coverage in the lamestream media.
Now we know some around he pretend that there arent independent voters
This election is everything that is wrong with American politics down to both sides having large groups of people ignoring what they actually stand for and voting for candidates they despise just to stop the other side from winning and shunning those that might think differently. Christ it is so bad that the media covers Hillary scandals and Donald Trump and ignores all other stories. Bernie goes up in the polls or has big crowds and it is crickets. Republicans release policy initiatives and campaign plans and it is met with the sounds of silence. The whole thing is a joke...
Right now is like pre-season football. Its good to hone your game and try out a few new things. Its also a time for fringe roster players to try and make a name for themselves. You also don't want to get injured. For Establishment types (Jebbers! Clinton. Biden.) you have time to take it easy and wait for the real games to start. We've already seen a roster cut (Perry). Walker is the 3rd string QB who throws 5 INT's during a start against the other team's scrubs. He might not get another chance to play after this. I've got nothing when it comes to extending this analogy to Trump.![]()
Still butthurt over The Departed, eh?
Why do you always bring that up...I havent discussed that with you in years. (I mock you for watching the Bachelor I could give two craps what you think of The Departed) I think you are the one with hurt feelings because I call you out on your BS all the time. Long pontifications and quoting a bunch of scholars who look down from ivory towers judging the masses doesnt mean you actually are right especially on politics.![]()
