Poor mookie...how much are you going to hate being ruled by a woman ;)

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

When I heard an audio clip that Huma had "650,000" I thought she'd forgotten to make the deposit into the Clinton Family Foundation account after the third minister for foreign relations from a second rate country had a ten minute audience with the former SecState circa 2011. ;)

Instead, 650,000 emails*? So, was she manually backing up the Clintonmail server on her and T-Dog's computer**, or was she creating a backstop for herself just in case someday the "merde a frappé le ventilateur".

*PS - Rover, (650,000 > 3). That's not Cornell math. ;)
**That was the IT guys job, wasn't it?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Why the hell would a Clinton staffer be using her husband's laptop for business? How stupid are these people?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

I heard a talking head somewhere yesterday (I can't tell you who or where) say that emails were in a folder marked "Life Insurance".

99.99% sure that's a completely made up rumor, but on the other hand it would totally explain why Carlos Danger is still above ground!

Incredibly stupid.

Including Hillary.

She's known for at least 20 years that she wanted to be POTUS. She's also known that she would be scrutinized probably more than any candidate has ever been.

How she made these pretty basic mistakes is hard to fathom.

Everything should have been by the book.

Should have distanced herself from the Clinton Foundation.

Should have made sure that nothing could look like "pay for play." Even if it was.

Should have adhered to standard protocol (whatever that is) for her emails.

This is basic stuff. Had she done those things, this election wouldn't even be close.

Donald Trump is giving her a run. Think about that.

Comey is in some deep sh*, and from what I've read, he should be. I have no clue what the hell he was thinking, if all these reports are true about him ignoring the dept/etc.

Somebody in the federal government should slap a lawsuit on Comey (not the FBI, just Comey). It doesn't really matter whether its merited or not. That seems to be the way it works.

Anyways, it does seem like there's a serious case against him. And although its much better if the Dems don't appear to be behind any lawsuit...they cannot let this one go.

Hell if it is true that is a pretty funny line and should get them a writing gig at NBC ;)

Considering her husband was caught sexting then went on the Opie and Anthony radio show and *showed* them the photo he sent (of which one of them slyly snapped a photo if the photo and tweeted it...)

I agree with this. The lack of foresight is upsetting.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Considering how incompetent everyone keeps claiming she is, do you really think that?

Especially considering how many times people have pointed out how bad she was at keeping secrets in e-mails.

We are pushing 30 years of constant investigation so far. Nothing.

If she's that brilliant, seems to be a good leader of some people- as they manage to keep really quiet. And lots of loyal people, too. Makes a good leader. Should make a good President.
I agree with you that she is very smart. I also agree that she has engendered loyalty out of her closest staff members, but I don't think that's unusual at that level of politics.

Where I really disagree with you is about whether she will be a good President. I just don't think she will.

For HRC, it is all about the power and prestige of being President, and being the first female President, and how much money can she later milk out of it. Can anyone really point me to anything she has done in politics, other than holding certain positions. What exactly are her accomplishments?

See, I don't agree with the fanboys here who think being a Senator or being Secretary of State is an accomplishment in and of itself. Show me something she's actually done with this power she has been a part of for 20-30 years.

Was she leading the charge in 2001 against going into Iraq and later Afghanistan? Was she introducing bills to keep us out of the housing crisis?

I was curious, so this weekend I tried to find out for myself exactly what she thinks she's going to do during her Presidency. Here is one list. Half these things aren't even proposals. They're just things like "I'll fight the Republicans." For those that are actual proposals, these are topics that have been around for years. Did she ever think of authoring a bill in the Senate to try to resolve these problems 10-15 years ago? Why do we think she'll get it done now?

Again, I'll ask, what exactly has she done, and what is it you think she's going to do during these next 4-8 years that will make her a "good" President? She's going to be a status quo President, nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXIII: The Penultimate Thread

Just a moment of reflection as Clinton lambastes the FBI investigation going public 11 days prior to the election: it was 24 years ago yesterday when they were publicly jeering GHWB over an additional Iran Contra investigation that went public only 4 days prior to that election - an investigation that was later dropped that December for lack of evidence.

Biden was on the Sunday shows yesterday. He doesn't use email. If I were in high level government I wouldn't use it either.

She is still ****ed near 80% to win so technically it isnt close now. And I just dont buy the emails is why it is as close as it is...the electorate has been more forgiving about much worse behavior and actions. There is way more too it.

BTW if I am reading 538 right Rasmussen has Clinton +3 and IBD/TIPP has Clinton +1. Those are the ones Donald used to like because they had him winning. (I am sure he hates them now) He is now losing in every poll but the LA Times.

Some polls are tightening. You also have the Brexit angle. In other words sometimes all these polls are just wrong. I still believe you but I'm never going to be 100% convinced until a week from Wednesday.

Remember Brexit barely won...and it didnt have to contend with an Electoral College. You would need a Brexit style disaster in all the Swing States plus more for it to happen.
