Because they haven't quite guaranteed the election will go to Trump and they want to leave no stone unturned, so they're hoping she can preside over one more incredibly stupid and damaging situation. How effed up does the world really have to be when the Republicans hand you Donald Trump on a silver platter and you STILL find a way to lose? I weep for our future.

It's half "how effed up does the world have to be" and half "how effed up is the electorate". There was some interview where they were talking to voters, and one elderly female voter didn't believe Hillary could get stuff done "because she's a woman". We're still dealing with an older generation and its views working its way out of the electorate.

I don't get into politics with my family much because I know how hard right my mother has gotten in the last decade (John Engler (R) was a terrible person, Jenny Granholm (D) was a savior ==> Granholm is the devil and Rick Snyder (R) is a hero).

She's voting for Trump only because "he's such a good businessman; and Hillary doesn't know what she's doing."

I was [ ] close to stopping my car and making her get out.

Written and Directed by convicted felon Dinesh D'Souza. Shocker.

That hurts the film's credibility; but, it's also from the producer of Schindler's List.

Yo, Kep, remember this? It ain't boring so far. ;)

Given Julian Assange's little Russian helpers' hacking of the DNC* and what they found (disparaging brown people and Bernie, and clearly not impartial), and now DWS resigning, and the Bernie folks in full uproar, are you sure this hasn't turned into a "$#!+ show"?

*The DNC must've used the same computer security system that Hillary used on her home server that never had classified on it per her statements** and that she used to email Bill (who never emails). ;)

**That shot was thrown in to show why I won't vote for Hillary and will be voting Johnson/Weld.

And here I thought only last week needed popcorn. I guess I should've bought more.

“We’re going to carry a coffin from the heart of the city to the convention filled with [documentation from those who deregistered from the Democratic Party],” Taylor explained. “It’s not only a ‘Bernie or Bust’ thing. They’re using fear tactics, but we’re not going to vote for a demon called Hillary because the other choice is a devil named Trump.

Seems it could be a warm week in Philly.

Who's trying?
WikiLeaks made this fish in a barrel for anyone remotely interested.

I'm just enjoying another, albeit unexpected, week of bread and circuses.

A job well done - DWS hired by HRC campaign as "honorary" chairperson.

Oh and it looks like acting DNC boss Donna Brazile was not exactly neutral in the primary battle either.

Lucy, you have some 'splainin' to do!!

Should be fun. Look for the mea culpas at 10 am on you local CW station.

The Clinton machine takes care of its own

Why even keep her on board through the week?
I didn't understand this either but if she really was made honorary chairperson its easier to see

Is it just me, or does the new third-party catchphrase sound like a call to action for lonely, "excited" males?

It's normal for the national chair to be changed if necessary to someone loyal to the nominee: Brazile is a Clintonista and that is what everybody expected. You should be happy -- she's a nincompoop, just with better optics than DWS.

The worst-kept secret in Washington was that DWS ran the DNC as a Hillary surrogate during the nomination phase. Thatt's hardly unheard of either. I guarantee when Dubya was running for the nom in 2000 he had the RNC on his side. But it is slimey.

This election is a machine pol vs a fascist. Not a tough choice.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

Yeah the WikiLeaks thing is embarrassing (in that it shows just how lame and disorganized the DNC is) but it is not the scandal some around here want it to be. All it does is prove what everyone was saying when the Primaries started...DWS and the DNC were in the tank for Hillary. I mean as a person who was a Bernie supporter that is annoying but it still doesnt change anything. None of this is the reason he didnt win and even he knows that. All it does is show the Clintonistas were not going to get Obamaed again...

Meanwhile Someone Needs To Take Away Drumpf Supporter Twitter Accounts. Sorry dont buy it was an accidental retweet...I am not even that good at reading/using twitter and I know what he is saying is bs.

As the resident socialist extremist Bernie supporter:

(1) it is part of the reason he lost
(2) we already knew "DNC" was a typo for "Hillary 2016"
(3) it doesn't matter; we've got a bigger problem now

All the concern trolling from Reince & Freince isn't going to convince Bernie supporters to cut the nation's throat to spite Hillary. At the end of the day we were campaigning for an improvement in regular people's lives. The most effective action we can take in that direction is trouncing Trump.

The election is hers to lose - and she is fully capable of doing so.

I don't get why folks are so mortally scared of them, especially Trump. I don't like either, but neither is the sure end of the USA.

We have this three-legged stool of government, filled with checks and balances put forth in the governing document, The Constitution, of the country to prevent any single branch from becoming too powerful. When those three legs act within their limits and act rightfully to check the other two ... nevermind ...

We've never had a president who literally doesn't believe in checks and balances. I can't believe you'd be this blase about it if the presumptive dictator was coming from the left.

P.J. O'Rourke was right.

Better bien pensant than pas de pensees.

Better a nit of wit than a louse.

Better a mangy cat than a rabid dog.

Better the scurrying of mousey progressivism gnawing at the fabric of society in the White House than a rat sitting on the Oval Office desk.

Better to root up the garden of free enterprise with the Democratic pigs than run off a protectionist cliff with the Gadarene swine Republicans.

Ever since Athens in the 5th century B.C. the great enemy of democracy has been the demagogue.

Trump is the equivalent of Lyndon LaRouche winning the Democratic nomination. He is qualitatively different from any other presidential candidate. He's Sarah Palin without the intellect.

The last two believed in checks and balances? That's a laugh...
