Campaign 2016 Part XIII: Clinton destrueretur est. Trump est destruetur. Vox Populi!

Kep started with the Leo Bloom reference- pretty easy extension to the musical they used to make money by having the worst show on Broadway.

But if one wants to make connections to Trump without The Producers, you are doing it on your own. ;)

Just curious - when you speak of the Producers are you talking about the Zero Mostel/Gene Wilder version or the Nathan Lane/Matthew Broderick one?

FYI for me it is always Mostel/Wilder.

Technically, the show that they produce is the same.

But, I knew of the more recent musical first, and hear that version of the song in my head... So Lane/Broderick. We also managed to see it on Broadway.

Oddly enough, when I chuckle at the singing line "heil myself..." it does seem to work currently.

Trump Needs a Reboot...

I may hate The Shrill but this line was hilarious:

Hillary said:
"He’s written a lot of books about his business. They all seem to end at Chapter 11."

That is some epic shade...and Drumpf has been melting down since then.

Same here.

Eleanor Mondale?

This may be a baseless rumor about a dead person who can't defend herself, but let's face it - after Monica, Eleanor Mondale would've been a substantial upgrade for Slick Willy.

As a man with three daughters, Mostel will win my heart every time.

He should have been Tevye. Topol was great but that was the role Mostel was born to play.

I always thought she was kinda hot.

Nice.

Donald Trump’s former campaign manager revealed in an interview before his firing that the campaign knew a story the candidate often told about Muslims prisoners being executed with bullets dipped in pig blood was a myth but decided to repeat it at rallies anyway.

Corey Lewandowski told The Washington Post it didn’t matter whether the story was true.

“It’s not about that. Look, it’s an analogy,” he told the Post for a story published Tuesday, a day after his unexpected firing from the campaign.

Excellent article crunching the numbers regarding Hillary-Trump:

I read a poll showing Hillary up by 7% (NBC maybe), but had Trump losing non-whites by less than Mittens! There is no way the man gets close to Romney's #'s (roughly 81-19 loss) amongst non-white voters. He's lucky if he hits 10% since he's openly at war with them. Obviously the lamestream media will keep playing around with their surveys in a desperate attempt to make this a horse race and drive ratings. But, a simple look at the underlying #'s tells you all you need to know. Yes if men outvote women for the 1st time in eons, if whites hit 75% of the voters which they haven't done in nearly 20 years, if Trump hits 30% with black voters, blah blah blah, maybe he has a chance. The likelihood of any of these things actually happening? Very very slim.

If the polls are wrong, but it keeps her pushing hard, keeps the "get out the votes" going, and pushes on the down ballot parts- I'm fine with that.

It will push the Democratic voters, too, and as we see in midterms it's important to keep them involved otherwise squirrel!
