What apparently escapes the lefties is that in presidential election years we maybe run 55%-60% voter turnout. In non-presidential election years we run something like 35%, and I don't think that number has been increasing. So, are 40 million people able to escape their evil bosses and the time rigors of every day life to vote during presidential elections but not during the other elections??? Or, maybe they're just shiftless and lackadaisical?I agree that its very unlikely that bosses discourage or are even anything less than supportive on average. Its more likely the...'boy, you know I'd love to vote...but the big meeting fell on today...I guess next time'. People create short term work related excuses to not vote...just like they create short term work related excuses to not go on vacations.
