Beau Biden is joining a PAC whose purpose is to get Joe to run...and Obama is 'hoping for a spirited' process. Its seeming pretty likely Biden will run and make this a two horse nomination race.

You are like my friend who every election sweats the Minnesota results (for the Electors) and ignores all logic and reason. Whoever gets the Dem nod is going to win. Unless every WASP and Catholic votes GOP they are completely destroying their chances. They aren't winning the women vote, they arent winning the Hispanic vote, they have zero chance with the Black vote as well. Even if it was Rubio and Carson on the ticket they would still only get a fraction just like Palin brought in very few women for McCain. If Walker is anywhere near the ticket (or any like minded guy) they arent winning any state where Unions have power or education is giving any priority. War mondering isnt going to help either...
The results will be similar to 2012 because the GOP is similar to 2012. Not one good candidate in the bunch all of whom are going to be out derping themselves to get money from the base. I lived through GW. Twice. I lived through TPaw, twice. I'll never recover. The last Repub that made sense for Minnesota is Arne Carlson. I'd vote for him again.

I'm not sure anybody who wins a nomination is unelectable -- vast numbers of voters would pull the lever for an asthmatic lemur if it was their party -- so really the question is who is un-nominatable? With Trump leaving the field, is anybody?

I'm more amused by how Cokie Roberts syndrome (aka everything that happens benefits Republicans) has taken over in the New York Times! Their latest doozy is that somehow Trump's rise is good for Bush.
This would be the equivalent of Hillary suddenly losing her lead to Lyndon Larouche or Ralph Nader in every primary state. 
Trump's rise is a disaster for all of the supposed front-runners (Bush, Rubio, Walker) because its embarassing and public proof that even the base doesn't like these guys. Even worse is his putdowns of them are spot on accurate, with little to no response out of his adversaries. Obviously Cruz is positioning himself to inherit Trump's support, so putting him aside for a minute, if they can't handle Trump's bombastic ad hoc attacks what's going to happen with the Clinton machine is launching a sustained 6 month effort against them?
PS - Did anybody catch her mocking Bush's "Right to Rise" nonsensical Super Pac name in front of the Urban League while he was backstage? Didn't know she had that in her!

I think that's true. Trump sucks all the air out of the room, preventing a primary (get it?) challenger to Bush to build momentum. Anything disruptive at this point plays into Bush's hands.
