My buddy who went to Thailand along with my SO who went to Asia a lot both loved it beyond belief. Lotus is crazy good but not cheap.

Le Thai is friggin great and half the price!

All you need to do is look at 6:5 Blackjack and see the direction Vegas was heading... They realized "too many people knew how the town worked" and needed to correct all that. That is why they only go out of their way to cater to high rollers now.

Lotus of Siam was probably awesome 10-15 years ago, before Flacco and his buddy Michael Ruhlman sent every fan there after the Vegas episode in Season 1 or 2 of Parts Unknown. They've upcharged accordingly ever since, and I believe they've even expanded the seating space. It's still high quality, authentic food, but I'm not at all surprised that you can do just as well for less money if you look around a little.

BTW Vegas is about half as busy as it normally would be for the first round of the NCAAs. The airport feels like it does on a summer Tuesday. Methinks a correction is coming...

I think within 4 month airline tickets are going to crash in price...hard!
