Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

Trying. But it is unnerving.

The plan I have going forward is to buy things in person when possible. I can control whether to go to a local place or a chain. I have to build in the annoyance of going out to the cost. I hope this will help.

It would be wonderful to bring down the billionaires, but it won't happen without action.

The problem is that while Amazon is shitty so are all of them. Target, Walmart, etc

So trying to quit them means paying not just 10% more, it's going to be closer to 40-50% more. I don't think that's feasible. Even for our family.

We shop at Costco as much as possible, but people shouldn't confuse their good pay, DEI, etc as something they do because it's good. They do it because it extracts the most money out of you. If they thought this wasn't profitable, they'd change tomorrow.

This includes the small businesses that people think are good. They're probably not either. Take Duluth Pack. Well known, highly regarded brand out of extremely liberal Duluth. Their now former owner was a complete chud. So even finding good local businesses is going to be hard because most don't wear their politics on their sleeve.

You're better off taking the money you save and putting it towards liberal causes.

Look there is no way to be pure...how many sites run on AWS for example? How many plan on dropping their Visa cards? It's not possible.

If everyone cutes say, 20%, from their Amazon spending that is a start. We don't need to cut it all completely we need to start by rationing where we can.

In other news what excuse will Trump use to not implement the steel and aluminum tariffs? No way he can keep them...

Dems love their purity tests lol

I completely agree. It’s not feasible to do this 100% of the time
