Business, Economics, and Taxes: Eat Cereal for Dinner

He technically can't do that, but whatever, no one seems to care and they just let him do whatever the fuck he wants. "Dick"tator for life.

I’ve made a number of changes to my purchasing choices away from Target. It used to be THE place I shopped for groceries, but then they eliminated many of the in-store brands that were both cheaper than the mainstream brands yet also equal or better in quality. Then they just dropped store brands completely for many product lines. No thanks, not when there are so many other sellers out there. Aldi and warehouse club stores are getting so much more of my paycheck these past few years.
You know why it was cheaper? Because Target was not forced to have their workers join the Grocers Union like say Cub does because Target is not classified as a grocery store. I found that out when some people I knew that worked at my former Target (which was a Greatland) talked about how things would change when it became a Super Target. As a former member of that union it was just another reason to hate that fraud of a company.

Also why Menards groceries are cheap.

For those not in the Midwest - Yes, a home improvement retail chain has groceries.
🎶 Crush trade unions at Menards! 🎶(hey, it paces well!)

When we were buying paint and other home improvement stuff there a few years ago, that was how we first discovered the discontinued flavors of Lacroix you rarely/never see in a grocery store, like "Beach Plum".

Gotta fund his son’s failed racing career somehow.

Sidenote: Is there nothing more emblematic of NASCAR’s decline and enshitification than the career of Paul Menard?

A midwestern rich boy, nepo baby driving around in decent cars from actual good racing teams simply because of daddy’s money? JFC no wonder their ratings and attendance tanked the last two decades.

There are so many people like me, and none of us are being counted.

This is why they want Medicaid work requirements - so people like me, with masters of science degrees, can be sent to pick crops and get paid with a cot and two meals a day.
What is your masters degree in? Also, who are the "so many people like me"?

Ah yes, the cushy life I lead.

Lmao. Somehow, my extended family’s wealth hasn’t been transferred to me

Race, please share, I’m dying to know- how many more months of unemployment do I deserve? And where was I begging for sympathy? Take your rage out on someone who gives a fuck

(Rhetorical question, I’m not going to see whatever pathetic response you have. You’ve been simmering with rage at people who you deem as “better off” and I’m not gonna read it anymore.
You are able bodied. Go get a job.

And now he's winning in Trans Am...

I thought it was because NASCAR is boring af.

It’s expected, but still, that’s a big price increase for the average Walmart customer to swallow.

ETA: 28-51% on manufactured goods displayed, but much smaller values for grocery items. I’d be curious if someone has done this same/similar comparison across all in-store products. (Yes, I know stock varies by store locations.)
