Oh! And I just saw this gem:

Musk, by changing Twitter to X, is finally fulfilling what he attempted to do to PayPal. And that exact name change effort is what got him fired from the then startup.

He sounds like those TV and movie producers in the late 90s/early 2000s who thought because "X-Men" and "X-Files" were super popular that everything needed an "X" in it because young kids will think it is cool!!

BTW that was the first time I saw "The SM Platform Formally Known As Twitter" since its rebrand...my god that logo is trash.

Teamsters cut a deal with UPS...Just days after someone (Politico?) said Biden would be hurt by strikes the next 12 months.

It was Politico. I remember reading the article and shaking my head at the stupidity.

We are past the point where one begins to suspect it isn't idiocy, it's a strategy to weaken the party that wants to tax Politico's owners*.

* Fun fact: they're krauts.

Whatever it is, it wasn’t written well. I guess they still got me to click on it though, so, mission accomplished.

Kraut Right Wingers.

Sam Stein is the only voice of reason most of the time but that is under his account.

Yeah I remember the German company Axel Springer purchasing them a few years ago. I’ve noticed the article quality decreased significantly afterwards, much like CNN taking its rightward turn.

More like UPS cut a deal. Devil is in the details but the word we’ve gotten is pretty good for us Teamsters.

Politico must’ve conveniently ignored the stockholder pressure UPS was getting.

I actually used the wording I saw in the Teamster Announcement on Threads...which obviously had more info I was just saying the important part. Teamsters definitely got a good deal from what little I saw.

Speaking of Threads sounds chronological timeline will be implemented today.

Edit: looks like it's in place already.

The one downside of being on an Android. Mine hasn't updated yet.

*edit* Apparently I just needed to force restart the app.

i thought I would get some perks for being one of the first million to sign up. I see they did away with showing your Threads sign up number on Instagram.

Latest update on SpaceX Karen: the person who signed up for Twitter way back when it was new with the username @X has had his username changed to @X12345678998765. @X is now what used to be @twitter.

No word if the user was compensated or if his username was outright colonialized.

Elmo now telling any advertiser that if they haven't spent $1000 in the past 30 days or $6000 in the previous 180 days they will lose their hold checkmark which is their brand verification. Basically means "spend more or i will let the cryptofrauds make fake accounts with your brand name".

Larry Summers must be out there somewhere, still being wrong about everything. What’s he have to say? Then do the opposite.
