Who in their right ****ing mind reads 600 tweets a day?

Jesus, get a life, people.

I don't know how they are measuring "read" but it seems like it would be awfully easy to hit 600 without trying. Hell, on a game night the puck would drop at 7 and I'd have filled my quota by 7:15. I'd be never even know about the central time zone games, much less the Alaska contests.

Supposedly a video only has to play for two seconds for it to count as a “view.” But, given that it won’t even load once you reach your limit, it might just count loading the tweets as “read” It wouldn’t be all that hard to scroll through tweets loaded since the last time Twitter was open and click on a few tweets for the comments and be at your limit.

Apparently Mr Beast hit the limit in two and a half minutes. I'm almost curious enough to load it up and see how long it takes me to hit the limit. Almost.

Bluesky can't come soon enough.

BTW please remember Jack Dorsey (bluesky) is as big of a fascist dirtball as Elmo. He is an RFK Jr. lover.

Sounds like he owes Google One a billion bucks...

Which would also explain why my Android Twitter app progressively took a sh*t all afternoon until it stopped updating the feed completely last night.

I can still Tweet out, but it refuses to update the timeline.

The work around supposedly is to just create a web app shortcut and use Twitter that way.

Has nothing to do with android. Has everything to do with the backend.

I have a hunch the Android app (some flavors?) was optimized to use the Google servers to offload some of the bandwidth from Twitter, and since Elmo ended the deal, the app still references those servers that are now dark.

Because on my Android app it refuses to refresh the timeline "Cannot retrieve Tweets, try again later," and when I go to the search tab, all I get is "Oops, something went wrong, it's not your fault."

I've also heard that if you have private lists set up that doesn't count against your (now 1000) limit.

If that's true, it'd be a real shame if people made private lists then had the page set to refresh every few seconds so it had to load all those tweets repeatedly...24 hours per day.... A real shame.

So In-Bev is offering a $15 rebate for the purchase of a case of Bud/Bud Light. These run $16-20 around here.

I expect this to catch on in conservative circles as showing that they "won"...

Similarly, the box office disaster that is Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is a victory over the woke Mouse, and proof that you shouldn't make the Nazis the bad guys in your movie. These people are ducking exhausting.

But why Sheffield?

Why not?
