My theory about Twitter is that they were cut off from some third party host or server, namely google cloud.

1. they were behind on payments
2. their contract was up at the end of june
3. This all started to fall apart around midnight PT
4. The public cutoff of access to profiles just started this week and that's a sign of trying to cut bandwidth to just survive.

What a way to crater the site. My Twitter app is useless and all I have going on are NHL free agency updates, the NASCAR Chicago race, and people I follow b*tching about Twitter.

He's forcing people to pay for it which is just going to drive off the user base.



I'd be down for a Blusky code. I may have to hop over to Mastodon more in the mean time.
 
My mastodon stopped showing images, and none of the fixes I could find online corrected the problem. Eventually dropped it. I dropped Twitter a bit earlier this year, but missed the hockey coverage/discussions so I turned it back on. Sounds like a good time to drop it for good.
 
The twitter limits are even more incidious. Now you can have Fox News post lies and you need to decide to dig into the replies after all the blue check marks to find the actual truth. LOL

Every time I try to refresh its a 80/20 chance I get a "Cannot retrieve Tweets at this time" message or it actually refreshes.

It's frustrating because I'm not a power user always refreshing. There are plenty of times where I let it skip ahead and I miss Tweets. Really surprised he's not making people pay to post things to Twitter.
