I'm not sure if I'll be shooting or not.. I never received confirmation of 'credentials' after faxing the WCHA Monday so I'll be walking in with a camera if they allow.. or walking back to the car to return it TO the car then coming in again
I'll be the one person with UMD stuff on.. WITHOUT a cowbell

WAHHHHOOOOO dogs! 7-3! Bemidji looked like they were starting to develop some momentum. I give them huge credit for getting to the palyoffs and if it meant not beating us, I would have really liked to see them go further. They have a lot to be proud of. It seemed like a pretty clean game too, on both sides.
Now onto tomorrow. WHO WILL IT BE?!

Just got in the door ..next time I'm staying in Minneapolis instead of driving down and back both days.
UMD seemed to shut it down after they went up 5-0...and couldn't re-start when Bemidji started scoring.. I hope that playing for the playoff championship gives them the jump back.
Only took 1100 pictures between the two games Plus tomorrow's game still...

I'm can't imagine A) That kind of lead on the Gophers or B) That they would have nothing less than fire in their bellies for the entire game.
It's going to be a great game, regardless. Goldy fought a good fight today and they have to riding on that high despite having tired legs form 2 OT's. We're going to have to play hard and play smart!

When I said they shut it down.. that's exactly what it looked like.. they relaxed and stopped pressing when they should taken Bemidji down with a knockout punch and probably scored 8 before the second period ended.
Bemidji did have some offensive zone play though they didn't score UNTIL it was 5-0. Steve Sertich has them full of confidence and they'll keep getting stronger. Next year should *REALLY* be the first real year of parity in the league.. we've talked about it a couple seasons now, but one of the teams expected always seems to flop. UMD and Minnesota will be 1/2 in some order, and 3-8 could be a real battle. Maybe Wisconsin will recover with their coach back and it will be 1-2-3 like we're used to but we won't know that until next October.

I'm kind of keen on the Beavers am looking forward to seeing next year's squad.
That game sounds like it could have gotten out of our grip had we not had such a lead. Yikes!

The team looked it too.. you could tell on the ice near the end with Blais scored the empty netter.. noone was all that happy and it was pretty much, job done, let's move on and forget this one. I'm sure the post-game locker room was good for them because most of the team was doing their cool-down in the concourse and in decent moods.

Dogs do their thing in a half hour. Best of luck to both teams. In addition to our team, I am really looking forward to watching UMD Team-Finland team mate, Nora Raty do her thing. Hopefully she doesn't do it too well today, though!
And I really hope to accidentally spill a scalding hot cup of coffee on B-1's lap.

What IS that irritating noise I keep hearing? Reminds me of a mosquito.
Anyway... That victory was sweet on so many levels! Makes me want to go lay on the ice and have a beer and a cigar-- Canadian Style!!
