For my fellow Bulldogs fans, it pronounced "Minnue".
With all due respect to Michelle Maunu from Esko and the Gopher Captain, we don't want to be cheering for her during a Gopher game! Michelle was a great player for Cloquet and was a field goal kicker for the Esko football team.
I first met Blais when she was here on a campus tour and I asked her what her nickname was. She told me "Minnue". When I asked what that meant, she said "small or tiny". It comes from a french word for a tiny or slender person.

That may be how she spells it, but if you listen carefully to how she, the other players, and coaches pronounce it; it's either Min-nue or Men-nue, not Mah-nue. I do spend time visiting with them on campus and at other events.
Anyway, we don't want to be cheering for Michelle "Mah-nue" during Gopher game!!

It's been a busy week and I haven't posted here in a couple weeks .. oops
As long as I wake up in the morning (yes, the alarm is set already...) I'll be there for at least tomorrow's UMD game and UMD's game on Sunday with Ohio State ...have a couple hours of photos I should get at tonight but I may procrastinate and have a bunch of stuff to do on Monday instead

I'm not sure if I'll be shooting or not.. I never received confirmation of 'credentials' after faxing the WCHA Monday so I'll be walking in with a camera if they allow.. or walking back to the car to return it TO the car then coming in again
