Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Us BC fans recognize what Quinn has done with this team . Peaking just right time and torching teams. There is no competition for the way the terriers are playing at least from any team in HE

Nice try. You need new material.

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Three's are wild! Rooting for three three OT games.

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

so our boys get either notre dame or umlololol or uvm or uhn.

just hope it's the 5p game :p

I would also want Quinnipiac over Bentley or Holy Cross as it has excellent men's and women's programs. With Merrimack adding women's hockey next season the league would really benefit from also adding a top women's program. Of course all of this is based on wild speculation at this point.

No more teams....more teams = less non-conf games.

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Not in 2009.

This. It used to be the case that the highest seed got the first game, the theory being they earned more rest in case there are long OTs, etc. But recently that is trumped by the fact that television gets to choose which matchup they deem will bring the higher rating and put it in prime time. My guess is almost certainly BU gets the late game...#1 team in the league all year, #1 (arguably) player in the country, marquee program. Plus, sorry, Mook, but the 2nd game would be easier for me. Not looking forward to fighting traffic at 4:00 p.m. :)

I believe BC is also known as a strong program and if they are playing Notre Dame maybe BU gets a break with the schedule

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Matt O'Connor was credited with his second assist of the season on BU's first goal. I checked my database for goalie scoring stats and that is not the BU record. Three BU goalies had 3 assists in a single season, while O'Connor joins 8 other goalies with 2 assists. And its not even close to the BU goalie career scoring record, held by Scott Cashman with 6 assists.

On the freshman/rookie scoring race Eichel had another 3 assists, moving him into sole possession of third for freshman scoring, 4 points behind co-leaders Dave Silk and Mark Fidler. He also moved into 6th for rookie scoring.

On the senior scoring race Rodrigues is now in a tie for 12th.

Updated lists

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Glad you thought so, TB. It was sick.

Eichel makes the whole team better with his skill and commitment.
Glad to see the squad getting it so right (though not against a top tier team) in the last two games.
Momentum for the rest of the conference tourney, but too soon to think about a Penrose for Quinn.

I'd really like to see the Terriers go up against ND and show some resilience before the NCAAs.

0% chance BU would have the late game if it's BU-UNH and BC-ND.
