Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Amazing box score. 2 gets a hat trick but not 1st star since 17 had 6 assists . Old time hockey

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Even if Duane is the first "sub" to get in there, he has still only dressed in 4 of 23 games this year. If Eichel does leave early, BU will probably only be losing three regulars at forward-- Eichel, Rodrigues and Hohmann. And, according to Chris Heisenberg's site, BU is due to have six forwards coming in the Fall of 2015-- Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, Kieffer Bellows, Sean MacTavish, Jordan Greenway, Maxim Letunov and Bobo Carpenter. If these recruits are as good as they are suppose to be, I don't see Duane, Kelley or Lawrence dressing too often. What are your thoughts, BU Nation?

i doubt bellows is showing up next year. he has listed a june 98 birthdate. which means he is a current jr in high school.

rodrigues is now 6pts away from 100 (30-64--94). too bad we don't play all hea teams 3 times anymore :D

8-1 & 9-5

6 3rd period goals in each game ;)

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

y'all realize rodrigues was very close to having a 10pt night. he had a couple empty nets in the 1st that he'd like to have another shot. if he didn't clobber the goalie on holmann's goal that's another assist (is soon as i realized holmann scored it i knew it was coming back -- the poor kid may never score another goal again!!! :( ). and i'm guessing he touched the puck on at least one of the times eichel showed he may have been a better figure skater than hockey player (great moves, but not even close to getting the puck on net  ).

Umass is bad....again. If it wasn't for the Jon Quick years... Cant understand why year after year they have trouble competing. Whistle-happy Bene was the perfect solution for BU, who'll gladly play half the game trading PP chances

hey now!!!!

i believe bu ended up with more penalty minutes than umass.....

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

O'reagan misconduct at the end throws the minutes out of whack. In fairness, Umass got hosed more than a few times on calls leading on several occasions to several of the 6 BU PPG's. I'd be furious too if I was Micheletto.

well scarlet didn't think the 5min major was an accurate call :p

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

I didn't say that. It was absolutely a boarding call. But it was like it was by a pee wee player. Didn't think it was worthy of a 5 but whatever. I think the fact that it was not so severe is why it wasn't a game misconduct.

Which is what Mookie typed.... "Not accurate" :)

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

Jack Eichel is the first Terrier to have four 4+ point games in a season since Jay Pandolfo had five 4 point games during the 1995-96 season.

Evan Rodrigues tied the BU record for assists with 6. Ron Anderson was the last Terrier to accomplish the feat on 4 January 1972 vs Merrimack. Rodrigues was also the first Terrier to have 6 points in a game since David Sacco had 7 (2g, 5a) vs Denver on 16 November 1990.

Just want to add.... NO HATS ON THE ICE?!?

Y'all realize you go get them back, right?

Re: BU Season Thread II: The Resurgence

It's a real bummer that we don't get to watch Cornell play more often. Their sophomore goaltender has given up 21 goals in 16 games and is 7-5-2. Do the Cornell players actually leave their defensive end or maybe just an occasional 'explorer' to see what the offensive zone looks like?
