so.....

when eichel comes back next year to repeat as ncaa champions, he'll be joined by a hefty class (numbers at least) and only seeing 2 guys depart. therefore, who will be getting cut?

Five reasons tomorrow’s UMass game is a trap game:
-#2 ranked BU coming off a road sweep
-Beanpot rematch with Harvard is looming with chance for revenge
-Lopsided early season win at UMass
-UMass is 4-3-1 in the last eight with 27 goals scored
-Recent addition of defenseman Montour, already their top-scoring D

Video on the blog today of Chris Higgins and Colby Cohen scoring goals for the UK Nottingham Panthers. Is Colby gonna be their new sheriff? :rolleyes:

The AFC Championship game was closer than this one will be and the only deflation story here is with BUs grades. ;)

Seriously though, I think BU will be ready to take care of business. That 4-3-1 stretch was against teams with a 49-64-14 record. And they may have scored 27 goals, but they gave up 24... to Uconn, Maine, UNH, Air Force, and Merrimack. The only team in the bottom 5 of Hockey East Umass didn't play in that stretch was Umass.

Season ticket holder. Strongly debating the pro's and con's of attending or skipping tonight's game. Traffic, weather, and crappy opponent are all reasons to sit this one out. I need some motivation here....

Well now it seems like we're not getting that extra snow tonight. I decided to take the T in because of the traffic in the city. I work about 2 miles, if that, from Agganis and if traffic tonight will be anything like last night then it would probably take me close to an hour to get there. I think what I might do is bolt work at 4, head home, then get my car and drive to the game. Unless it is supposed to snow. In which case I'll take the T.

Monday looks challenging weather-wise. Glad we have the early game.

In all seriousness, can you see Kevin Duane and/or Tommy Kelley transferring? Last season both played in 32 of 35 games. This year neither one has played very much at all. And with all the good recruits coming in next year, I don't see them dressing very often, in their junior and senior years.

Yeah I would think Kelley or Dillon Lawrence would be candidates to move on. Duane has at least seen some time this year - seems like he is the first "sub" to get in if there are injuries, etc.

Even if Duane is the first "sub" to get in there, he has still only dressed in 4 of 23 games this year. If Eichel does leave early, BU will probably only be losing three regulars at forward-- Eichel, Rodrigues and Hohmann. And, according to Chris Heisenberg's site, BU is due to have six forwards coming in the Fall of 2015-- Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, Kieffer Bellows, Sean MacTavish, Jordan Greenway, Maxim Letunov and Bobo Carpenter. If these recruits are as good as they are suppose to be, I don't see Duane, Kelley or Lawrence dressing too often. What are your thoughts, BU Nation?

My thought is why are you all having this conversation in January and worrying about players who have only played a handful of games and whether they're the odd men out? Let's see who comes back and if the newbies all show up, etc.

LaCouvee with the start tonight. And steakbomb, the scarf is pretty nice for a free giveaway. Hope you decided to come so you could get one.
