On Wednesday, Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson scored his first USHL hat trick and added an assist in a 10-4 Omaha win. Second goal (0:53 second mark of video) shows some slick moves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKhpkWsVwZk

Earlier in the week, Max Letunov’s game-winner, scored 18 seconds into overtime, made the USHL weekly highlights reel. Not end-to-end like you-know-who, but very effective.

Neither is JE, but BU will have serious skill at center next season.

The Oracle was right about Milano and gave very long odds that Bracco arrives at BC, but I don't recall any pronouncements regarding Letunov, who scored another two last night.

Three BU 2015 recruits are among the top 20 USHL scorers: Max Letunov (Youngstown, St. Louis 2nd round, 2014) tied for 5th with 23 points; Robert Carpenter (Sioux City) tied for 12th with 20 and Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson (Omaha), who was the league’s CCM Forward of the Week, tied for 16th with 19. Two of JFK’s hat trick goals made the USHL’s Week 10 Highlights reel.

Despite the hokum posted on the BU season thread, the 2015 class is stacking up as one of Div.1's strongest. With projected 1st-rounder Jordan Greenway, NTDP dman Charlie McAvoy (projected 2nd/3rd for 2016), the class already had high marks from the recruiting community even before projected 2nd-round pick Forsbacka-Karlsson committed in October.

2016 recruit Patrick Harper off to a hot start with Avon Old Farms. 1G + 4A in Saturday’s win against Albany Academy. Then scored AOF’s only goal in Sunday 4-1 loss to Cushing, earning second star. 3-5-8 after three games. 16 year old played fall hockey in Mass Midget Selects league and led all scorers in Tier 1 18U division.

98 F Patrick Harper (BU) named to the USA roster for 4 Nations tournament this month. Has been ripping apart prep for AOF this year.

Harper is one of two skaters added to the NTDP U17s for the tournament in Ann Arbor, joining 2016 recruit Clayton Keller. 6-7-13 thus far for Avon Old Farms after leading the Mass Midget Select league Tier 1 U18 in scoring as a 16 year old.

Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson had primary assists on 3 of 4 Omaha goals last night. 23 points in 22 games

BU recruits on the newly released NHL Central Scouting rankings: Jordan Greenway #22; Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson #39; 2016 recruit John McDermott #109. In addition, Eichel is #2, Greer is #71 and Diffley is #139. Former BU commit Cam Askew is #79.

Forsbacka-Karlsson, whose stock has increased this season, has been one of the hottest USHL scorers since November (10-26-36, tied for 5th in USHL) and was Team West MVP in last week's USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game. Earlier in the year, Central Scouting gave him a B rating.

Of the other 2015 recruits, Max Letunov was a second round pick last year (Blues), Carpenter and MacTavish were not drafted. McAvoy is eligible for the 2016 draft. Letunov is currently fourth in USHL scoring and Carpenter is tied for 12th.

Robert Carpenter scored a hattrick (video starts at 1:05) and added two assists in a 6-2 Sioux City win on Sunday. Named USHL Forward of the Week. Now has 40 points in 37 games, tied with Maxim Letunov for 3rd in USHL scoring. Jakob Forsacka-Karlsson one point behind at 39. All three are 2015 BU recruits.

Bellows is a 2016 recruit, along with Clayton Keller, Patrick Harper, Hank Crone and Vas Kolias.
Next year's crew is JFK, Max Letunov, Robert Carpenter, Jordan Greenway, Sean MacTavish and Charlie McAvoy.

Except most of the blue chippahs won't be here 'till 2016! In any event I already renewed my season tickets ( I want the Frozen Four tickets.)
