I thought that after the Cornell game. Then UVM happened.Huge win. Could it be a springboard? We shall see.
He plays straight line hockey. I think he and Rouk have been our best two players this season in terms of compete and simple play.Brandon Svoboda is the Matt Wright of his generation.
I’m going to need more information here. And then they used a bug zapper to signify the passing of the torch. This night couldn’t get any better.
I wish I had a photo. It looked like a tiny bug zapper on a stick (or maybe a cheap solar path light) to symbolize the torch in the NU seal that the team skated around the ice. The players looked amused by it.I’m going to need more information here.
Four wins in the last five (could've been 5/5) despite all the health issues make optimism for second semester realistic.Wow. I did NOT see that one coming.. Stunning.
I almost feel bad for the NU team having to sit there in their own stink. Almost.

Completely agree on Nick R. Every team needs a guy like this.Fun atmosphere as expected last night. A few bad decisions and misfires were the downside of an otherwise well-played game by BU. I'd rather have those types of mistakes because this team will learn as they get experience, versus just looking lost and having no flow, like other games this season. Svoboda was due, glad to see him cash in. And barring another injury, I think we will see Boisvert emerge. Ritchie is still adjusting to playing against older guys. Roukunakis is such a great find - great all-around player.

The incident in question. They gave Wotherspoon a rough and mack a double minor for a rough and the Penguins scored on that power play.Adding to a great night of hockey. This is must watch. (Not shown: Macklin going after a Penguin who injured Will Smith.) - Sharks-Pens
Didn’t drop the gloves, no??The incident in question. They gave Wotherspoon a rough and mack a double minor for a rough and the Penguins scored on that power play.
Because it wasn’t actually a fighting major it wasn’t technically a Gordie Howe hat trick for him, but I think it counts in the spirit of it.
I agree, but they've sure dug a deep NPI hole. They'll probably need to win the conference tourney. Hopefully that's not unrealistic.Four wins in the last five (could've been 5/5) despite all the health issues make optimism for second semester realistic.
I stayed for the ceremony.I wish I had a photo. It looked like a tiny bug zapper on a stick (or maybe a cheap solar path light) to symbolize the torch in the NU seal that the team skated around the ice. The players looked amused by it.
They couldn’t change the period from 1 to 2 until 7 minutes were gone. This team plays like it's a 90 minute game.
Really
I stayed for the ceremony.
Prolly sounded good when they planned it out, but could it have been any more pathetic?
You couldn't have paid Engineering kids to make a LED torch? That was sad.
